Discover Cork on a family-friendly walking tour that blends sweet treats, rich history, and local charm. We begin at Cameron Bakery with fresh, buttery pastries before strolling along Merchant’s Quay beside the winding River Lee. At Emmet Place, we’ll highlight some of Cork’s most iconic landmarks. A short walk brings us to one of our partner shops on historic Frenchchurch Street, where you’ll enjoy donuts made fresh that morning. We’ll then treat you to colorful, creative varieties that showcase Cork’s modern flair and flavor. As we head to our final stop at Cafe Mexicana, we’ll pass the historic Coal Quay, a trading site for centuries. In this cozy café tucked in the Huguenot Quarter, you’ll choose between Alfajores or Grandma’s Mexican cake for a sweet finale. This tour is perfect for families, food lovers, and anyone eager to explore Cork’s flavors, stories, and soul in a fun, relaxed way.

Here we will explore this part of Cork city, which would have been a hive of activity down through the centuries, as boats sailed in and out of the city with various cargos one of the most famous being casks of Premium Quality Cork butter. 15 mins.
Located in Emmet Place is one of the most famous opera houses in Ireland. Standing outside the front doors, we will explain to you the wonderful history of this iconic building, as well as pointing out to you, the famous Shandon Bells, and two beautiful Queen Anne houses, one of which is operated by the International coffee chain, Starbucks.
Honorary bronze statue of the renowned native rock & blues guitarist in a plaza dedicated to him. You're welcome to take some photos with Rory while we tell you a bit about him and his relationship to Cork.
Stopping in the heart of medieval Cork city, we will point out the places, where the Irish had to buy their food, and look at Cork's famous coat of arms, which is located on a wall, where one of the old towers of the Queens castle was located.
Stroll down Washington Street, taking in the extraordinary Cork Court house, Reardons Emporium and the wonderful church of St. Augustines.
Finally, on the last leg of our journey, we will stroll down through the heart of modern day Cork city, Patrick street, taking in the multitude of architectural styles of buildings on display. We will point out the historic Hugenot burial ground, located in the heart of the city, before we bring you into your final stop in Cafe Mexicana.

Paddy was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and great host. Local pastries were excellent. Paddy was aware I had another tour at Midleton Distillery, and got me a taxi to make it to Midleton just in time.
