We visited Córdoba in July 2026 and booked a guided tour of the Alcázar (including its magnificent gardens and the Hammam baths), the Jewish Quarter, and the Mezquita. The first part of our tour was led by Emilio, while the Mezquita tour was led by Álvaro, an art history graduate. Both experiences were simply incredible and unforgettable. Emilio and Álvaro are exceptionally knowledgeable about the fascinating history of Córdoba and the profound influence of Islam, Judaism, and Christianity on the city's culture, architecture, and art throughout the Middle Ages. Their passion for the subject was evident in every explanation, and they brought centuries of history vividly to life. We learned so much during our visit, and I cannot recommend either of them highly enough. Their English is impeccable, making the tours both informative and easy to follow. What made the experience even more enjoyable was their wonderful sense of humor—they had us laughing throughout the tours while sharing an incredible wealth of knowledge. The Mezquita is one of the most breathtaking and magical places we have ever visited. It is truly a masterpiece that everyone should experience at least once. If you are planning a trip to Andalusia, do not miss Córdoba. And if you have the opportunity, book your tours with Emilio and Álvaro. You will come away with a much deeper understanding of the city's remarkable history and cultural heritage. Thank you, Emilio and Álvaro, for giving us the best possible experience of Córdoba, its art, and its culture. We are grateful beyond words!
Excellent way to introduce yourself to Cordoba and its history. One guide led us through the Mosque and Jewish Quarter and another through the Alcazar. Learned the fascinating history of these areas while being throughly entertained. Lots of walking, but we always had well timed rest stops. One of the most memorable tours on our trip.
The Mosque/Cathedral is a must-see! Patricia was an excellent guide, keeping the entire group engaged for the entire 4 hours. You will not be disappointed. Highly recommend a guided tour.
Patricia was an absolute gem, very knowledgeable, professional and personable. She was very engaging, patient and very respectful. I would recommend her in a second.
Still waiting for ticket to be sent to me not used by son. Disappointing.
Expert guidance from Saray delivered spontaneously and pleasantly. Lots of useful info.
Wonderful guide, Saray made this a fantastic experience with her depth of archaeological knowledge and evident passion for her work. While the Christian Alcazar is not available, Saray made the Muslim Alcazar bath house come alive with her intricate knowledge. The timing of the stops was also very much appreciated.
We made the reservation directly on their own website for two visits in French, one in the morning and another in the afternoon, organized solely for our group of 12 people. Our guide, Olivia, a true expert on the Mosque and the history of Córdoba, created a very friendly atmosphere from the start. Despite the limited time, the visit was interesting and always provided clear information that placed each part of the tour in its historical context. Olivia was also friendly, kind, and had a great sense of humor. A guide with skill, highly recommended. On the other hand, the administrative management was not up to par: chaotic processing, improvisation, and a somewhat untransparent and unfriendly attitude towards the client. Even so, Olivia compensates for everything else, and that is why our rating is 5 points.
The most important thing to know is that the Alcázar is closed for renovations so don’t book a tour that includes this . We paid for a look at the outside wall ! Having asked for a refund for this part of the tour, it has been refused. Will not use Viator again.
Really good, knowledgeable and humorous guides. It was a “trick in the bill that Alcazar is closed due to renovation, which you don’t get to know when you book.
