This small-group walking tour links two of Copenhagen's most distinct neighborhoods: Nyhavn, the city's postcard harbor, and Christianshavn, a canal-lined district often called the city's own Mini-Amsterdam. Across five stops, you'll trace Danish food from its roots to its most modern corners: a chef's refined take on smørrebrød, Denmark's classic open-faced sandwich, then a taco stand featured in Netflix's Somebody Feed Phil, set beside the restaurant that shaped its style. From there, a modern porridge concept, a beloved hotdog cart, and a family-run bakery known for cardamom pastries. Set inside the Royal Danish Playhouse, you will enjoy chef Adam Aamanns’ modern take on smørrebrød: Denmark’s iconic open-faced rye sandwiches. You’ll savor two mini pieces, paired with wine (afternoon only) or sparkling water.
Cross the bridge into Christianshavn, Copenhagen's Mini-Amsterdam, for the taco stand from Netflix's Somebody Feed Phil: real corn tortillas, slow-cooked pork, braised beef, or seasonal vegetables, made with true Nordic precision.
Porridge was once survival food in Northern Europe. Here, at the world's first restaurant devoted entirely to the dish, you'll taste it reinvented with global spice: red lentil daal, coconut milk, fresh herbs, cherry tomatoes, and salted almonds.
You'll taste a classic Danish ristet hotdog: red sausage in a soft bun with remoulade, mustard, ketchup, pickles, and onions, from a tradition dating back to Copenhagen's 1920s pølsevogn carts, plus a meat-free version for anyone skipping the pølse.

fun food experience
everything was excellent, the location, food selection, history behind it, our group was fun and Mark our tour guide was great

Great tour, but not the best value
Mark was a great guide. Very easy to talk to and had a host of information about the city and food scene. Tastings were yummy. The first stop with the smorrebrod and wine was lovely and had a great view. Overall was a bit pricey as the remainder of the tastings were all budget foods (taco, hot dog, lentils, and cinnamon bun). I would estimate you could probably purchase the same foods for about $50 USD and the tour was almost $200 USD per person. Would overall recommend but value for money just wasn't there.

A wonderful way to sample Copenhagen!
We sampled a wide array of delicious, international food, demonstrating the multi-cultural cuisine available here. The elegant first stop for the classic smorrebrot blew us away. We also enjoyed wine and beer at two of the five stops. We left stuffed and carrying doggy bags! Getting to know Mark was the icing on the cake!

Great walking tour of Copenhagen along with the food !

Sonja was fabulous, friendly and engaging. The food selections were varied enough to have something for everyone, and the quantity was plenty. It’s a great way to combine dinner with seeing and learning more of Copenhagen. Simply put, it was fun!
