Columbia Gorge Waterfalls & Wineries from Portland: All-Inclusive Afternoon Tour

Description
Experience two of the greatest attractions of the Pacific Northwest – the Columbia Gorge Waterfalls and Oregon wines! Hear amazing narratives that lie beneath the scenic beauty as you admire the basalt cliffs, lofty waterfalls, and vineyards and orchards that define the area. Begin your afternoon along the mighty Columbia River, watching for bald eagles and ospreys as you make your way to the verdant forests of “Waterfall Alley.” Your guide will provide a naturalist perspective on the mossy environment as you meander around some of the 70 waterfalls that drape the region’s cliffs. As you continue east, the wet forests of the coastal Pacific Northwest give way to Garry Oak, Ponderosa Pines, and other more arid vegetation, creating prime conditions for grapes. Spend the rest of the day exploring the fertile basin around Hood River, where you’ll taste boutique wines found only in Oregon. Learn how the forces that shaped this incredible landscape have also crafted the wine in your glass.

This tour ended up being just my wife and I! Our tour guide Luke was amazing, very attentive he anticipated our every need/want. This was an amazing experience my wife and I are still talking about it a week later!
We had an awesome tour with Luke! We were celebrating a friend’s 40th birthday and were a group of seven ladies. Luke was such a gentleman, always helping us get in and out of the van and taking pictures. He also provided an amazing history and narrative of all the waterfalls we visited. He was attentive throughout the entire tour, and since he knew we loved berries, he even let us pick a few. When we got to the winery, he knew some of the orchards closed early, so he went and picked some Rainier and Bing cherries and brought them back for us. I mean, if that isn’t going above and beyond, I don’t know what is! He was kind, great listener, let us indulge in our music choices, and was simply a joy to be around. We all flew in from different places, and Luke was truly the highlight of the entire trip. Thank you so much, Luke, for being absolutely outstanding!
Great day! Luke was an excellent guide and the waterfalls and vineyard were so nice. Highly recommend!
We were picked up at our hotel right on time. We lucked out and only had two other people on our tour. Elijah, our guide, was so knowledgeable and nice! The Columbia River Gorge was gorgeous, we visited so many waterfalls. The original winery we were supposed to visit was unexpectedly closed, but Elijah had it resolved so fast, and we went to the most beautiful place, you would never know it wasn’t the original plan! The tour provided snacks and drinks, which was awesome since we happened to visit when it was 95°. It was so beautiful and it was great to be able to see all of the scenery without having to worry about driving. 5 stars, would recommend!
An absolute amazing experience and Luke is an absolutely wonderful guide you'll have a wonderful tour with.
Awesome! Great day with a great guide, Luke, learned some, laughed some! All in all just wonderful!!
Saw stunning waterfalls and the beauty of the gorge and river and the major mountains in the area. Learned about the history and fascinating geology of the area. Went to one winery, which was lovely and had some excellent wines. We were the only people on The trip so our experience was probably unusual; it fostered our interaction with our guide, who was personable and knowledgeable.
We had so much fun with Luke on this tour! He was such a great guide- we learned so much about Oregon and also had a great time hanging out with Luke and getting to know him! The waterfalls were amazing and the winery was so much fun!
Luke was a phenomenal tour guide. It ended up just being myself and my boyfriend on the tour that day, so we were able to do things kind of at our own pace. We saw many beautiful falls, and Luke was super informed about the local plants and landscape, including local legends. He also very kindly acted as our photographer. The wine at the winery was excellent, and having the tasting included in this tour made it so seamless and was a big reason we went with this tour compared to other ones. My boyfriend who is not even a big wine drinker even enjoyed his flight. Multnomah falls was breathtaking and it was so nice not to have to worry about the parking situation. I'd highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Portland that wants to see some of Oregon's beautiful nature, waterfalls, and wine country.
We had a great waterfall and winery tour with Luke. He was very knowledgeable about the area and local history. He was also great to provide lots of other local recommendations for places to eat. Wy-East winery was very quaint and the wine was delicious. I would definitely recommend this tour and guide.
