Itinerary
Choose from one of two convenient central Dublin collection points (see booking calendar). We'll soon be on our way and enjoy a picturesque drive across the green farmland of Ireland to bohemian Galway.
All going smoothly, we expect to reach Galway city by 11:00 approx. You'll enjoy approximately 2 hours in Galway. There's lots to see and do, but the city is quite compact. Take a stroll through the JFK Memorial Park at Eyre Square, enjoy an ice cream on the Salthill Promenade or pick up local specialities such as Claddagh Rings (Thomas Dillon on Quay Street) & Aran Sweaters (O'Maille's on High Street). Those who wish to sit back and people watch can relax over a pot of tea and scones at Cupan Tae (8 Quay Lane), a quaint Irish tea shop. For those of you who have had a late one in Temple Bar, these guys also do a mean Full Irish Breakfast including sausages, bacon, eggs, fried potatoes, tomatoes and soda bread with Kerrygold butter
Sit back and relax as we drive the short distance from Galway to Lisdoonvara along the Burren coastal route. Take in amazing vistas of the limestone countryside as we pass through ancient parishes such as Clarinbridge, Kilcolgan, Kinvarra and Ballyvaughan.
Arrive at 14:30 approx for lunch in the tiny Co. Clare village of Liscannor. Delicious local food and drink options await. Depart Liscannor approx 15:15
We arrive at the world famous Cliffs of Moher (approx 15:30), one of the world's great natural attractions where you can enjoy a relaxed walk and breathtaking views. The Cliffs of Moher are 66% as tall as New York's Empire State and stretch for almost 10km. Forming part of the edge of Western Europe, this landscape really is a "must see" on a visit to Ireland. You'll enjoy 1.5 hours at the Cliffs of Moher, which is just the right amount of time according to the 90,000 passengers who travel with us annually! Your entrance fee (EUR 12.00) is included in the price of this tour. Depart Cliffs of Moher at 17:00
We'll depart the Cliffs of Moher at 17:00 approx and make our way back to Dublin city. There will be a short stop in Birdhill, Co. Tipperary for a refreshment and restroom break. All going well, we expect to have you back in Dublin for approximately 20:30 in time for late dinner seatings and relaxation (tour finishes in the O'Connell Street / Temple Bar area).

The Cliffs of Moher and Galway City Day Tour from Dublin is a long day. We didn't get back till 9pm. There’s really no getting around that but the itinerary has enough stops and variety to make the time go by much more quickly than you might expect. There’s a snack stop fairly early on, and then you’re off through some beautiful Irish countryside, passing little towns and villages along the way. One thing to be prepared for. The roads get VERY narrow. There were definitely moments when I wondered how two tour buses were going to squeeze past each other. Somehow, they do. I decided it was simply part of the adventure. Galway is a wonderful stop, with about two hours to explore. You can walk through the Latin Quarter, see the Spanish Arch, shop, grab something to eat, and listen to live music. There’s also another 45-minute lunch stop in a small town later in the tour, so you may not actually need to have a full meal in Galway unless you want to. And then you get to the Cliffs of Moher. Beautiful. Gorgeous. Breathtaking. Honestly, all the adjectives apply. The walk is relatively easy, and this is not a place where you need to rush. Take your time, find a spot, and just take it all in. Yes, it can be crowded, but there are still plenty of moments where you can find your own little space to appreciate the sheer scale and beauty of the cliffs and ocean. This is definitely a full-day commitment, but if the Cliffs of Moher are on your Ireland list, I think it’s absolutely worth it. The combination of Galway, the countryside, little towns, and finally those spectacular cliffs makes for a memorable day. Long? Absolutely. Worth it? Also absolutely.
It was a great and confortable experience I will remember for life
The trip was beautiful, and the scenery was absolutely amazing! The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. My only criticism is that the time is too short to really enjoy all the places and take everything in. Overall, a lovely experience!
Our bus driver Eduardo was very friendly and funny. He gave clear instructions about the trip and timetables. The whole experience was very good. Galway is a beautiful city. The cliffs of Moher was majestic. My favourite part was the drive to The Atlantic Way.
Very good tour but customers should be informed of the policy the tour company has for dropping customers off from a tour. In my case Paddy Wagon tours will drop people off at the end of the tour somewhere near where they were picked up and to ask their bus driver for the exact address where they will be dropped off so that the customer can convey that information if someone is picking them up. Instead of Viator states people will be dropped off at the same location they were picked up.
We had a great time. Better to board at the first pick up, so your group is sure to be sitting together. Dominic was our tour guide. So. Much. FUN!! Knowledgeable, full of stories, even sang a few songs!! Galway was wonderful for shopping, only wish we had more time there. Cliffs were amazing.
The only downside... the guide spoke too fast for me to understand everything (my English is a bit rusty) everything was as described! The small restaurant suggested was very nice and good! Galway is great, Burren is nice and the Cliffs: a real wonder!!!
Even though we thought about it due to the duration, the day went by so fast. Keith is wonderful! Great tour guide, he was funny, knowledgeable and very friendly!
Our trip to the Cliffs of Moher and Galway with Paddywagon Tours was fantastic! We rode in the famous pink bus, which was easy to spot and added to the fun. The tour was well organized, fast-paced, and stayed perfectly on schedule—from a 7:45 a.m. departure to returning around 9 p.m. There were plenty of stops to eat, shop, and enjoy the scenery. Our driver was friendly, knowledgeable, and shared fascinating stories and history throughout the journey. I won't spoil it, but his commentary made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour!
Whatever you do, don’t use this company, Paddy wagon. They are so unreliable and reckless. Canceled my original trip and offered me another option. I agreed to the switch and went on the tour .. we made it to our 1st stop and was told to arrive back at the bus at a certain time. I arrived no later than 10 mins past the time and the driver left me with no call from him or the company! I was left in the middle of a small town that had limited transportation service back to Dublin. When I called , they told me I needed to figure it out . As a solo traveler, this has never happened to me and this was such a frightening moment . Managed to make it to the next town 1.5 hr away to take a 3 hour bus ride back into Dublin. Highly advise to never use this company!
