We visit to Corcovado Mountain and the Christ the Redeemer statue going through the Paineiras route. The 20-minute drive to the base of the statue takes you through the Tijuca Forest and gives you a preview of the landscapes ahead. The statue stands 710 meters tall and from this vantage point, you’ll have sweeping views of the city.
The cable car ride to the top of the mountain is done in 2 stages: begin at the boarding station to Urca Mountain (224 meters) and then from Urca Mountain to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain (395 meters).

Everything was truly excellent. Our guide, Monica, provided great explanations throughout the tour; she was always ready to answer questions and was incredibly empathetic and friendly. The timing of the tour was perfect, and at every stop, she gave us detailed explanations, relevant facts, and the history of the location. The place where we had lunch was also excellent—the food was delicious and of high quality.
What can I say about this fantastic nine hour experience of visiting Christ The Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain & the Rio City Tour which included a trip to the famous Macarena Stadium (even though sightseeing was restricted to only the exterior of the Stadium though😊, it was still worth it), the magnificent Catedral Metropolitana de Sao Sebastiao, the noted Escadaria Selaron Steps & not forgetting the sumptuous buffet lunch we all had at a wonderful restaurant. AWESOME is the word to describe this tour. This incredible and memorable experience was made possible for my two children and I by this Company (Rio Carioca Tour), Katrin the hardworking, very very patient and marvelous Company’s Tour Guide & the lovely Tour Driver who drove us for so many hours to these places. A superb day in Rio! I had the chance to discover Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain, and the magnificent Selarón Steps. The landscapes are incredible and the organization of the excursion was truly perfect. A big thank you to our guide Monica, who was lovely, professional, and very attentive throughout the day. She largely contributed to making this experience even more pleasant. I recommend this excursion 100% to discover the must-sees of Rio! 🇧🇷❤️
I booked the full-day river tour with a barbecue restaurant. The transfer was always very punctual and careful. Gabriela's guide is wonderful, a sweet person. He spoke Portuguese and Spanish, explained the history, customs, and traditions of all places. Very dedicated and enthusiastic. A wonderful person, I highly recommend calling and asking for her on the tours.

Our guide today, Monica, helped us discover the main points of the city, telling us many interesting details. We appreciated her very much for her competence, her professionalism, and her kindness.
Tour was very good. It hit all the main sights to see. Tour guide was very good. Appreciated that it didn’t take too much time to pick up others in group.
Pickup was 15 minutes late. Signed up for English tour. The Tour was done in Spanish and English with Spanish always first. We were past points of interst by the time English was given.
The tour is striking because of the places it proposes. Although it is difficult to coordinate a group of people, there was not a good experience on the part of the guide. The group was delayed by two or three people at EVERY stop. At each point of interest there were only details that if you look them up on Google it can also tell you, I mean information about the place to visit. She leaves you at Christ the Redeemer and that's it, in 20 minutes she picks you up. At the staircase, two words and a warning that it is a favela. Totally dissatisfied with the guide Lidia; I am Argentine and went during the World Cup, she did nothing but touch on sensitive topics like "I don't like your national team," she gave her opinion on the nation's president (I don't understand why), anyway.... They take you to the Maracanã: TO THE ENTRANCE GATE, 10 minutes for a photo. And finally: the driver dropped us off at the base of the staircase, a member of the group was almost robbed, with a shove and a blow to the head, the guide didn't even notice if we hadn't told her. I do not recommend it in the slightest. If you do the tour on your own, you come out ahead.
