Itinerary
Depending on your accommodation location, you will be picked up between 4.30 and 5.00 PM, between 4.40 and 5:10 PM, or between 5:10 and 5:40 PM. Visit Wat Umong. This temple set in the forest is completely different from other typical temples, this one is built inside a tunnel. Enter the tunnels of Wat Umong and see the impressive Buddha images. It doesn’t matter what religion you have. When you go inside the tunnel, it whispers to you the secrets of this world and the old history of this temple built in 1297.
Visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, one of Chiang Mai’s most revered and iconic temples, located on the mountainside at approximately 1,056 meters (3,464 feet) above sea level. A popular Thai saying goes, “If you haven’t seen Doi Suthep, you haven’t been to Chiang Mai.” This reflects the temple’s importance as one of the city’s most beloved cultural and spiritual landmarks. Admire the magnificent Lanna-style golden chedi, beautifully decorated with engraved gold plates, and enjoy panoramic views of Chiang Mai city and the surrounding countryside. Visiting Doi Suthep at night offers a magical experience, with the illuminated temple and spectacular city lights creating an unforgettable view of Chiang Mai.

A great tour! Our tour guide was very attentive and very knowledgeable! We are in our 80’s and were well taken care of! The road to the top of the mountain was steep and curvy however our driver was 🤩 amazing! Thanks for a great experience and memories ❗️
It was an incredible evening. Nenew our guide, was so kind and respectful. She helped us understand a lot about Buddhism and Thaï culture. We went as a family, 2 adults and 1 young teenager. Our teenager loved the experience, which it itself gives you an idea of the nice evening we spent😊.
Great value. Reliable driver and guide. Lovely experience to enjoy the temples during the night, which is totally different from what you can say in the daylight. However it can be a little bit confusing when they travelling around in the old city to pick up different customers. And the mountain road trip can cause you dizziness.
Excellent. We were collected from the hotel on time. Our guide, Mat, was excellent and taught us a lot but not in a dull and lecturing way. He was always happy to answer questions, take photos etc. I would recommend this tour! Thank you Mat!
Highly recommend. Our tour guide. MATT, was excellent. Knowledgeable on Wat history and Buddism. Additionally,.he went the extra mile to accommodate his customers. 5/5
Wonderful time of the day to see the temples in the cool and the evening light makes for great photos. Highly recommend this tour.
Guide was well-spoken, but with the historic and cultural explanations on the lower side (feel free to ask though). Temples were stunning (especially Wat Doi Suthep after nightfall). Keep in mind though that if you stay in city centre or further east, the pickup itself is going to take a while.
Positive experience. The temples visited are very fascinating. The guide was very kind and helpful Highly recommended
Transportation was in a full bus, with 12 total guests. Bus had AC and was ok - nothing fancy and seats not super comfortable. Our guide was Yo-yo and he was kind, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The tunnel temple was ok. Nothing fancy and just 4’of 9 rooms accessible due to renovations (but all are the same). Wish we had brought bug spray to this stop! Lots of mosquitos. Wat Doi Suthep was spectacular at night. View of Chiang Mai old city was ok. It was about 35 minutes to/from the 2nd temple each way so transportation provided by this tour was well worth it. Not much to learn about either temple, so basically all about rhe views. For the money this was a worthwhile tour.
The experience itself was great. We did not love the tour guide. Recommend the night timing, especially in summer.
Thank you for your feedback. We’re happy to hear you enjoyed the experience. We will share your comments with our guide team and encourage them to take better care of our guests and provide more informative explanations. We appreciate your comments.
