A good way to see the island, however, note that the operators have a strong Italian accent so English speakers may struggle to understand.
I went with my husband and daughter, I purchased the boat tour with blue grotto stop . When arriving there to pick up my tickets at HP right next to dock 23 , the lady informed me there were 2 tickets , this was not going to be on the same boat for both activities. She suggested I go do the blue grotto 1st and do the island boat tour after. She was right , if you purchase both activities, go to the blue grotto activity 1st! You then have to walk back to dock 1 because that’s where the little boat that takes you there is Why it takes about 2 hours because there is a long line to get in , you have to lay completely flat to enter so I suggest swim where if you don’t mind getting your outfit a little wet , I wore a dress and trust me it dried quickly after I got out .you then take a even smaller boat to enter which is a separate fee of 18 euros each person and after the gentleman that takes you inside will want a tip so take money with you. Then after you go back to dock 23 which leave every 15 minutes so you can go grab lunch or shop if you don’t want to go right after you were on the other boat, and take a larger boat that takes you around the island This boat does not stop at blue grotto! It only drives by and explains. The grotto shuts down in the afternoon due to high tides so please if you want to go inside do it as early as possible or you will not go.
Not bad, we went around the island and saw the major rock formations that are famous while the guide gave some background info but due to the ferry being so big, we couldn’t get close to the rocks like smaller boats were so that was disappointing as I thought this was a small group tour on a smaller boat.
Loved the tour. Lots to see from sea level . Entertaining commentary. Great photos. Take the Monte Solero chair lift to have the view from the top.
It was a beautiful boat ride. But the tour operators only did part of the tour in English, so we didn’t understand it all. Also, when passing the Blue Grotto they told us it was closed but people were going in. I don’t think they wanted to stop. This was disappointing.
Everything well organized. The guide Marco was very professional!
Would give zero if there was an option. Be careful. We booked Capri coast to coast tour with stop at Blue Grotto through Viator. When we reached their about 30 minutes early for 10.30am tour, they gave us the vouchers and said the wait is 2 hours for the blue grotto. This was very disappointing, seems like a scam. Not sure if Viator is aware of this. We had a train to catch from Sorrento, had no time to wait for more 2 hours. As such, we asked for refund, they said they cant refund and Viator will refund. This whole experience was not at all pleasant to have during a family vacation. I have to call Viator for the refund and hope will be refunded without an issue.
We had a great tour. The captain was funny and likeable. First we did the blue grotto on a smaller boat and then we embark on a bigger boat for island tour
If you are going to the Blue Grotto in Capri, the boatman will ask you for extra money, if you refuse, he gets angry and refuses to move to take photos,, it is unpleasant… the experience itself is good, just that
Very successful excursion. The captain and his crew handled this excursion very well. We are delighted with it and have good memories of it, we thank them for it. I insisted on visiting the Blue Cave, they directed me to another provider and so I took a second boat that took me there and it is a scam, €19 and 2 hours of waiting for 5 minutes of visiting.
