Göreme panoramic viewing point fascinates those who want to watch the beauty of Cappadocia and the sunrise and sunset with its generosity. The most practical way to enjoy the beauty of the Cappadocia valleys, the uniqueness of the fairy chimneys and the balloons that add color to the sky is to go to the panoramic viewpoint of Göreme. The panoramic viewing point, which welcomes those who want to relax with an insatiable view, is quite crowded
UCHISAR is a troglodyte village situated 4 km east of Göreme. It is famous for the huge rock formation once used as a fortification. This extraordinary rock is the highest peak in the region and offers a magnificent panoramic view of the whole of Cappadocia with Mt. Erciyes in the distance. Most rooms in the castle are connected to each other with stairs, tunnels and passages. At the entrances of many rooms, there are millstone doors, just like the ones in the underground settlements, used to control access to these places. Due to erosion it is unfortunately not possible to reach all the rooms. Most of the rooms, located on the north side of the castle are still in use as pigeon houses (dovecotes) today. Farmers used these pigeon houses to collect the droppings of pigeons which is an excellent natural fertilizer for the orchards and vineyards
The Goreme Open Air Museum is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the Cappadocia region of Turkey. It is a complex of rock-cut churches, chapels, monasteries, and other religious buildings that date back to the 10th, 11th, and 12th centuries. The Goreme Open Air Museum was originally a Byzantine monastic settlement, and the buildings were carved into the natural rock formations of the area. The frescoes and artwork inside the churches and chapels depict scenes from the Bible and provide a unique insight into the religious life of the region during the Byzantine era. The museum consists of several sections, including the Tokali Church, the Karanlik Church, the Elmali Church, and the Yilanli Church. Visitors can explore the museum and see the impressive architecture and artwork that have been preserved for centuries.
Pasabag Valley, also known as Monks Valley, is a unique valley located in the Cappadocia region of Turkey. It is known for its unusual rock formations, which are shaped like cones and are referred to as "fairy chimneys." The fairy chimneys in Pasabag Valley were formed as a result of volcanic activity and erosion over millions of years. The soft volcanic rock was eroded away, leaving behind tall, slender columns of rock topped with larger, mushroom-shaped caps. Pasabag Valley is a popular tourist destination in Cappadocia and is known for its stunning natural beauty. Visitors can explore the valley and see the unique rock formations up close. The valley is also home to several cave dwellings and chapels that were carved into the rock formations by early Christian monks.
Pigeon Valley, also known as Guvercinlik Vadisi, is a picturesque valley located in the Cappadocia region of Turkey. It is named after the many pigeon houses carved into the rock formations in the valley, which were used to collect pigeon droppings for fertilizer. Pigeon Valley is a popular hiking destination in Cappadocia, offering stunning views of the unique rock formations and the surrounding valleys. The hiking trail through the valley is relatively easy and takes around 2-3 hours to complete, with several scenic viewpoints along the way. Pigeon Valley is a must-see destination for visitors to Cappadocia, offering beautiful scenery, unique cultural heritage, and an enjoyable hiking experience.
Avanos is a small town located in the Cappadocia region of Turkey, famous for its pottery and ceramics. It is situated on the banks of the Kizilirmak River, which has played an important role in the town's history and economy. The town's history dates back to the Hittite period, and it has been an important center for pottery and ceramics for thousands of years. Fairy chimneys are unique rock formations that are found in the Cappadocia region of Turkey. They are tall and slender columns of volcanic tuff, topped with a larger rock that protects the column from erosion. Fairy chimneys were formed over millions of years through a process of erosion and volcanic activity. They are found in various shapes and sizes, some reaching up to 40 meters tall, and have been a popular tourist attraction in the region for centuries. The local people of Cappadocia have also carved these fairy chimneys into homes, churches, and monasteries for centuries. These cave dwellings provided shelter from harsh weather conditions and served as a refuge during times of conflict. Today, many of the fairy chimneys in Cappadocia have been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site and are a popular tourist attraction.

**Excellent private Cappadocia tour, highly recommend** We booked this full-day private tour for our family (2 adults, kids aged 6 and 15) and couldn't be happier. Our driver Mehmet was polite and professional the whole day. Our guide Salina was fantastic, really accommodating when we asked to tweak the itinerary to suit our family. The standout was the underground city. It's impressive on its own, but having Salina explain the history and how it all worked made it so much better, honestly worth doing the tour just for this with a good guide. We'd already done the open air museum ourselves the day before, so we asked to skip it, and Salina was happy to adjust the plan around that. Great value, well organised, and flexible. Would book again.
Thank you so much for your kind comment
The tour went very well, it was fast paced, all sites are nearby, no long driving (mostly were no more than 30 min driving between sites). Our guide Mali is great, very professional, paced our route well; and driver Halil is great and on time. One complaint- it was advertised to go to Avanos, but it never happened (and no substitute) - reality is there is no more time for another stop, but why advertised if it is not happening, someone may rely on the description of the itinerary to book the tour so it has to be accurate.
Thank you very much for your detailed review and for your kind words about our guide Mali and driver Halil. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the tour and appreciated the smooth itinerary and professional service.
this was perfect for our family of four- who usually are quite skeptical about tours We did essentially the green tour because we had already done the ATV sunset tour and the morning sunrise balloon ride, which essentially covers most of the red tour. this allowed us to getaway from the crowd filled areas of the Cappadocia region that most people don’t see. Our tour guide was flexible and met us at 9:30 AM at the hotel with the driver. And we were out until 5:30 PM but the day was relaxed; we did a hike, saw cave monasteries, cave homes, underground cities with the experience and knowledge of Giza, our tour guide. She knew all of the history and practical information about the areas. she was clearly an expert and enjoyed what she did. She understood the desires of our group and knew when to move faster or slower, depending on our interest. There is no way I would’ve learned 1/4 as much information about this area without her along with us. Her English was excellent and she had a great sense of patience and emotional IQ. My husband, who is very reluctant about tour guides was extremely appreciative. She kept my two teenage daughters engaged as well. I’m really glad we did a private tour that I would highly recommend requesting Giza. Additionally, our driver was on time, drive very safely and had an amazing clean and luxurious feeling can with good AC.
Thank you so much for your valuable feedback . Hope to welcome you in Cappadocia again
We did the red tour and the green tour with Almuela (Alma) as our Spanish-speaking guide. It is a highly recommended activity because it allows you to get to know the entire Cappadocia area in a comfortable way. Alma gives you brief explanations of each of the stops, answers all questions attentively, and adapts the tour to your needs. The second day it rained and she adapted the itinerary so we could continue enjoying it despite the rain.

Ebru and Mustafa were our guide and driver for a wonderful two-day tour in Cappadocia. We did the red tour one day and the blue tour the second day. Ebru was kind, courteous and extremely knowledgeable about the area and history. She brought the area alive. Mustafa was an extremely competent and safe driving for our time there. He was always ready and he's had a warm smile. While we were touring he even picked some wild lilac for my wife, which was her favorite flower. You cannot go wrong with the team taking care of you during your capital sha holiday.
Thank you so much for your kind words 😊 Hope to welcome you again in the future!
Ebru was a wonderful guide, learned so much from her and mustafa was a great driver. Had a lot of fun experiences with them.
