Description

CATCH A FERRY TO SOUTH AFRICA’S HISTORIC ROBBEN ISLAND These days, a trip to Robben Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a must-do on the itinerary of any tourist to Cape Town. Must see, madhouse in bus and the ride on the island is very disappointing.

You have to experience this, but the whole tour from the boat to the bus on the island is a bit too commercial, busloads of people driving around the island, screaming into the microphone, not to be understood and nothing to see because the bus is too full. Take this for granted and the last for the best where all the prisoners have been. Here it is impressive and especially disbelief how that must have been there. That experience entirely because Nelson Mandela has been here attracts the people. Other reason I couldn't think of. Bring your own drinks because there is little or no time to consume anything. There is no nice location on the island to have a look and a drink. Incredible scenes to and from the boat.. Too bad you are not allowed to go for a walk on a marked path where you can discover and view the history of this island. G
