Cape Spartel & Hercules Caves 5-Hour Tour with Camel Ride

This tour was a lot of fun and great way to see Tangier! Safouane spoke very good English and was informative and helpful. Van was very nice and comfortable and air conditioned. Despite being a foggy day we were able to see all the sights. The highlight for us was definitely the camel ride at the beach

Today we had a 5-hour private guided tour with Oualid from Yalah Travel Morocco, and we were absolutely delighted with the experience! Oualid took us to some of the most beautiful highlights around Tangier and shared so many interesting facts and stories about the region along the way. Our tour included Cap Spartel, Akkrah Beach with camel riding, the Hercules Caves, and Café Hafa – a perfect combination of sightseeing, nature, and Moroccan culture. Oualid was punctual, extremely Friendly, attentive, and highly knowledgeable. We travelled in a new, very clean and perfectly air-conditioned Skoda Superb, which made the journey very comfortable, especially in the warm weather. We were particularly impressed by the excellent communication via WhatsApp. Oualid always replied immediately and was available whenever we needed him. We had great conversations with him in English throughout the tour, and it was clear that he genuinely enjoys his work and loves showing visitors his country. As an extra touch, Oualid even kindly reserved a table for us at a restaurant for dinner that evening. This was such a thoughtful gesture and really showed how attentive and helpful he is. We would absolutely do this tour again and can highly recommend Oualid and Yalah Travel Morocco without hesitation. The value for money is excellent! Very cool trip with amazing spots and the camel ride is a fantastic bonus. Everything was on time and we had a lot of time to do every activity and visit at will.

Our tour of Tangier with Sohaib, our driver, was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Morocco. From the very beginning, Sohaib made everything incredibly easy and comfortable for us. He was professional, kind, punctual, and genuinely enjoyable to talk to. His warm personality made the entire day feel less like a tour and more like spending the day with a local who truly wanted us to experience Tangier. We stopped at the beautiful and historic Villa Perdicaris, before heading to Cap Spartel, where we had the unforgettable opportunity to see the meeting point of the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. Standing there with my wife, looking out over the endless blue horizon, was a genuinely emotional moment that we will remember for a very long time. ❤️🌊 But the real adventure came when we rode camels along the coast with the sea in front of us! 🐪🌊 That experience was absolutely magical. Riding a camel with such an incredible landscape around us was something I never expected to enjoy as much as I did. I honestly don't think I will forget that moment for the rest of my life. We then explored the legendary Hercules Caves, which added another fascinating chapter to the day. And finally, we ended our tour at the famous Café Hafa, overlooking the sea. Sitting there after such an incredible day, enjoying the view and the atmosphere, felt almost like being in paradise. ☕🌅 It was more than just sightseeing — it was a beautiful experience filled with unforgettable moments, amazing scenery, history, adventure, and genuine human connection. This should not be leveled a tour but rather a transportation service. From the beginning, it was a bit of a disaster. I received a text the night before from the tour guide, stating that they would meet us at the port as soon as we got off of the cruise ship. In the text message, it stated that they had special permission from the port to come out to where the cruise ships were located on the dock. There were some tour companies and buses located there however, our tour guide was nowhere to be seen. After looking for 20 minutes, I finally called and was told that I had to walk over to where the mosque was located. The blue sign that was promised was actually a black-and-white sign and that made it difficult to find the driver. We were then walked to a parking lot and finally boarded the van. We had a driver and an escort and very little communication. They both spent the entire trip on their mobile phones and made me nervous on the windy roads. They delivered us to the spots as promised. Cape Spartel is very pretty and worth the trip. The Hercules cave is not. It is a hand dug cave with an opening to the sea that supposedly looks like the map of Africa. It does not. If Hercules was on a bender and wanted to pretend he was in Ibiza, he may have spent a few hours here. The inside of the cave is lit up with poorly designed, disco lights that make it very difficult to see. The area was surrounded by scammers trying to sell you all kinds of worthless junk. The beach is relatively small and smells like camel dung. The camels are small and it appears to be torturous to them to give rides on the beach. Did not feel that the tour delivered as promised and is poorly run.

Visiting Tangier with Jamal was one of the most beautiful and significant experiences of our trip to Morocco. From the very first moment, he made us feel welcomed and accompanied with great professionalism, speaking perfect Italian and immediately conveying his passion for the city. With him, we discovered wonderful places like Cape Spartel, the Caves of Hercules, and the splendid beach, but the real added value was the way he made us enter the soul of Tangier. Thanks to Jamal, we truly experienced the city: the Kasbah, the Medina, the California district, and many hidden corners that we would never have found on our own, nor, above all, understood. Every place came to life through his stories, rich in history, traditions, and details of daily life that made us look at Tangier with completely new eyes. Without him, we would have missed a fundamental part of the experience. Jamal proved to be an exceptional guide: always available, patient, attentive, and very well-prepared. During a moment of difficulty with the hotel, he even took personal action to help us resolve the situation, demonstrating a kindness and care for his guests that is truly rare. **We recommend him with all our heart:** if you want to discover Tangier not just as tourists, but to truly experience it and understand it deeply, Jamal is the right guide. Thanks to him, we will carry with us a beautiful and deeply human memory of this city.

Our driver/guide was Mounir. He is excellent company. He is a friendly and careful driver, who told us both relevant and interesting trivia during our tour. Everything was well organised, there was more than enough time for all activities. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and most definitely recommend it. Thanks Mounir.

Everything went very well; a small misunderstanding at pickup was handled with care and attention. The driver, Mounir, is a special person: friendly, multilingual, and cultured.

The trip was great! Every place that we visited contained stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. Sohayb, our guide was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. We had plenty of time to explore at all the places in the itinerary. I particularly enjoyed the 30 minute camel ride along the beach which was nice. We had a nice meal at Cap Spartel, again at a very scenic spot. We had to pay to enter the Hercules caves but it is worth it as you get an interesting and iconic view of the Atlantic ocean. We also visited Cafe Hafa (the oldest cafe in Tanger) at the end which has a breathtaking view. The cafe itself is probably not the most hygienic but worth the visit just for the views. I would definitely book with Sohayb's company again and would recommend to others. Sohayb's company do other trips such as a whole day trip to Chefchouan, but that adventure will have to wait for another time...!

We booked this trip so that we could see Cap Spartel and the caves without waiting for buses. This trip is perfect for getting around with ease. Mounir was an excellent driver. He is a charming and informative local man, and it was lovely to be looked after and shown different sides to Tangier. The camel ride was a great bonus and very enjoyable.
