We could barely...
We could barely understand Tom’s English, which is not his fault! 90% of the tour were Asian guests and as they had paid for the food package they were prioritised over us. We feel we missed out on camaraderie as no one really engaged with us, compared to other Viator tours we’ve done! We were also asked twice by a laughingTom after lunch if we were drunk, which we were certainly not!!
We did actually enjoy the content of the tour, the places we visited were amazing, but sadly a little soured by our experience.

Canadian Rocky Mountains Trip
We had an amazing experienced as first timers to visit the Canadian Rockies. The First Express travel team driver and the tour guide Bob Li made us feel comfortable and safe during our trip. Food and accommodations are in excellent rate. Will definitely recommend the tour.

While tour coverage is...
While tour coverage is fantastic, tour operation is primarily designed for Chinese tourists - like all meals stopges are at Chinese restaurants and non chinese tourists have to hunt around for non chinese food in limited stoppage time. Also extra payment was not informed earlier. We had to pay mandatory gratuity of CAD 20 per pax per day which works out to CAD 80 per pax. On top of that extra gratuity was requested. Once that was collected which we thought was for both guide and driver, we were again requested to pay extra to driver. We would expect CAD 80 should have covered for both.

Not reccommenden for not asian people
Don´t go on this trip if you are not asian/chinese, the guide was rude and never explained things to us because we were non asian people, there was a huge gap between asian and non asian in the treatment. Additionaly the guide speak very poorly english and with a thick accent, we couldn´t understand him almost all the trip.

Very beautifull scenaries...
Very beautifull scenaries of glacier mountains tops, rivers and lakes with greenish colors and calm water with images of trees and mountains.

tour is a great option
The schedule was well paced. Stops were timed nicely, and there was enough free time in Banff to explore on our own. The highlight for me was Lake Louise, it was absolutely stunning in person, even better than the photos.

4 day tour spoilt by a non English Speaking guide, booked through Viator
This would have been ok if we had an English speaking guide. We had 4 days of a bus full of Chinese people (except for 1 Scottish Couple and ourselves. Our itinerary states English Speaking guide but we never got that. Our Holiday Club Accor Vacation Club booked this tour through Viator. I contacted our Club and complained about what we got. They said they in turn contacted Viator but they would not compensate us in any way. Everything was Chinese, Chinese Restaurants, chinese Winery and a Chinese Ginseng factory. The scenery was fabulous but who knows what the guide was saying. The Chinese tourists were laughing and enjoying the commentary but not us. I will never book anything through Viator again and will never use Accor Travel again either. We came from Australia to enjoy this tour but was very disappointing to say the least. Please check to make sure it is NOT the Chinese tour unless you are Chinese

Christmas in October
It was a very well planned itinery. Ryan from first express was accomodating on changes and explaining additional charges on tickets and meals so that there were no surprises.
Garry, our guide is very knowleable and experienced. He explained the history and towns and alert us on the perfect photos opportunities on the bus and attractions. All instructions and explainations were in both Chinese and English. Garry also went to extra effort to optimise our experience when the weather prevented us from entering one of the site. He gave clear instructions especially on the glacier experience and personally checks on the safety and comfort of the group. This was the last summer tour but the weather made it a christmas experience in october. A perfect way to start your time in Canada. Will definitely recommend it.
