Hotel pick up at Midnight as in Sal Hasheesh. Met with minibus and collected 2 other passengers. A group of 5 had cancelled and thank God they did as it meant we could lay across seats to sleep. 40 minute wait at one stop waiting for road to open to all traffic not just lorries. 2nd stop was ok. Minimal air con on an otherwise uncomfortable journey and not enough water for journey both ways. Egyptolologist needs to stop working. We had tickets to enter the great Pyramid the other 2 travelling did not. He dropped them off then took us to the Great Pyramid, gave no information about it. Told us to meet him on the boardwalk outside the Pyramid for photos at a specific time. After 45 minutes of waiting I had a security guard ring the company for me. I explained that we couldn't locate our guide. They rang back and told us to wait where we were as the security guard had given them our exact location. It was another half an hour before the guy arrived. He wanted us to view the Sphinx from the bus, we said no. He clearly struggled with the walk. Then we went to a perfume shop, I had been there before so didn't mind that uninformed stop. Lunch was basic. We then went to a Papyrus place - nonevof us wanted this so on we went to the Grand Egyptian Museum. He clearly knew what he wanted us to see and explained those artefacts but we wanted to see more, so he left us to it. Every exhibit explains what it is and the significance. Journey home was uncomfortable, hot and we were all tired. Rest stop - Egyptian used toilets for free. We had to pay 100LE.. DIDN'T GET BACK TO HOTEL IN TIME FOR DINNER - so be prepared.
Thank you, Nathanya, for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We would simply like to clarify that the excursion includes lunch and water, while dinner is not included, as the return to Hurghada can be late due to the long journey. The Great Pyramid interior entrance is also an optional addition, and the guiding arrangements can therefore vary depending on the services and tickets selected. We have taken your comments seriously and will review the points raised with our team. We also hope you were able to enjoy the rest of your holiday in Egypt. Thank you again for your feedback and for travelling with GoEgyptia Tours.
Very punctual driver. The trip was quite comfortable (it's a minivan, after all) and there were plenty of breaks where you could grab a coffee and stretch your legs! Once we arrived in Cairo, we had an exceptional guide, GEM, incredible; the Papyrus Farm, a classic tourist attraction; the Valley of the Kings and the Nile cruise, a must-do!
