Cabo Boat Ride to El Arco & Lover’s Beach with Swimming

The organization and pickup were easy and straightforward. There were seven of us on the boat. We could choose the drop-off location and pickup time ourselves, and we chose Pelican Rock. We were not allowed to get off at Lovers Beach; there were only kayaks there. The snorkeling itself was great, but getting in and out of the boat was very difficult, even with everyone helping each other. You sit between the rocks, and there were no life jackets on our boat. I would not recommend this spot for weak swimmers or families with children. Water shoes are essential because of the rocks in the water. Photos were taken of us in front of the Arch, which we could later purchase at a high price. Since everything had to happen quickly, we had no time to take our own photos. On other tours, the crew takes photos with your own phone, which would have been much nicer. Overall, it felt more like a transfer to Pelican Rock than the tour we had booked.

Very fun and informative tour with the most beautiful views. Boat will be tilting in the water so just be mindful. It was too hot to relax at the beach so we just saw the arch and came back. But the beaches are nice and they let you choose which one you want to go to. Camera pictures were expensive but they were so beautiful we couldn’t leave them. You are allowed to take your own pictures tho.

Overall the experience was great, especially for the price. The captain was so funny and friendly, the staff was also great. It was advertised that there would be a stop at Lovers beach and that was not an option for us, we did however get the option to stop at two other beaches. They drop you off and pick you back up when you’re ready. The boat was small and felt a little scary at times because the currents are strong but it got the job done and the captain was knowledgeable on how to handle it. There was no time to allow people to take pictures with the Arch other than with the crew’s camera which is then offered for sale for over $25 a picture. Which in Mexican pesos is a lot. But again, for the price, all in all I’d say it’s worth it and it gets the job done. At the beach they have umbrellas, drinks, snacks for sale but of course very overpriced. It’s advisable to bring your own snacks with you if planning to stay at the beach. Dont forget to save cash to tip the crew

Such a fun experience and great value! You can't go to Cabo without seeing the arch and lovers beach. Absolutely breathtaking and the tour is great.

We thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Everything happened exactly as advertised. After the tour and pictures we got to choose one of three beaches to hang out at. We chose Lover’s Beach for an hour (should have chosen 2 hours!). I had done the research and was fully aware that there would be workers there helping us off the boat for tips and offering up umbrellas for a fee. We chose to get an umbrella for $500 pesos and it was worth the money! There is no shade otherwise. There were vendors selling drinks and trinkets but I never felt pressured . When our boat came back to pick us up, the workers were very helpful again. The tour itself was great, there was a photographer taking photos but, again, I did not feel pressured to buy any. Overall, it was a great day and we’re happy we went!

It was a very nice experience we had… we all had a blast with the boat driver and the guide. The sail was smooth.

No frills boat ride. They went back to get more people which cost us time. Honestly not much to see on the beaches. Not related to the tour directly but use of bathrooms charged money and doesn’t include toilet paper. You are also accosted by endless people selling marina tours.

We met our guide at the surfboards and walked a short way on the pier to the boat. They were all very friendly. Very scenic, and popular—there were a lot of boats and a cruise ship in the area. It helps to be pretty physically fit when getting off and on the boat at Lover’s Beach! Gorgeous scenery and an exhilarating morning tour! Guide took photos, which cost $40 USD if interested.

Well, it was kind of as advertised. A boat ride around the coastline with a guide that told us about the features, which included things like “see that stick up top? That’s the last cactus on the Baja Peninsula.” Also, there were literally a thousand other boats on the water vying for the same photo ops, same sites. It was extremely crowded and kind of unpleasant. Which isn’t the tour operators’ fault, but it is a “you should know”. However, despite there being many others on Lover’s Beach, our boat refused to take us there, citing “dangerous waves from an off-shore hurricane” (it was almost flat and we had checked the weather and there was no hurricane). They took us to a different beach, and I realized why when we got there. Their buddy was “helping” people off the boat, refusing to give bags back, and escorting groups to umbrellas where he then asked for a tip, and after receiving the tip, informed us we needed to pay for the umbrella. In fact, not a single person we encountered didn’t have their hand out for a tip. I get it, but it was unpleasant. Just pay employees. If they had water available, I didn’t see it - no cooler, no offer, nothing. Overall, while it met the letter of the description, it was quite disappointing, and we ended our beach encounter after one hour instead of two to get out of there.

Not the greatest, but we got what we paid for. No complimentary snacks or drinks. There was no gas left before we docked at the end. We didn’t stay on the beach either. Atleast we saw the beautiful arch & took a pic!
