We had a wonderful tour with Cristina. She took us to a number of lovely local vendors to try authentic foods and wine, and also shared so much about the history and culture of Cádiz. She really catered the tour to our interests and likes and made sure we had a memorable experience.

Adriane was the best guide. She was so knowledgeable giving a great mix of history along with food knowledge on the different drinks and tapas we tried. More importantly she was lively and friendly, it felt like we were friends meeting up rather than her doing a job. She gave us some amazing recommendations for restaurants and a list of everything we tried which was so helpful. Hands down one of the best tours and tour guides ever. If it’s an option ask for Adriane to be your guide.
This is a wonderful tour of all kinds of food and drink in Cádiz. Ask for Adrianne she is very knowledgeable and really has a connection with all the restaurants we went to. She lets you set the pace and really listens to what you want out of the tour. Excellent tour of Cádiz. So much fun!!
If you’re visiting Cádiz and want more than just wandering around pretty streets pretending you understand what you’re looking at, book this tour… and hope Joanne is your guide. Cádiz already has a claim to fame as the oldest city in Spain, but Joanne somehow makes it feel both ancient and completely alive at the same time. From the first step into the winding streets, she had us hooked. Her storytelling, her energy, and her depth of knowledge turned what could’ve been “just another walking tour” into something far more immersive. Joanne is a Brit who speaks flawless Spanish, which sounds impressive on paper. In reality, it means every bar, restaurant, and local we encountered treated her like family. Watching her interact with the owners and staff added a whole extra layer to the experience. This wasn’t a tourist loop, this was Cádiz from the inside. We made it our mission to try and stump her with questions. History, culture, food, random “what’s that building” moments… didn’t matter. She had an answer for everything, and not just surface-level answers either. Detailed, thoughtful, and actually interesting. Her background made it even better. She started out teaching English to local tour guides and then somehow leveled up into becoming one of the best guides in the city herself. That explains a lot. Now let’s talk about the food, because this wasn’t just a history lesson with snacks. Joanne introduced us to what she called “struggle food” which honestly sounds like something you’d avoid… until you taste it. These dishes came from hard times, created by working-class locals using the simplest ingredients available. And somehow, they turned those basics into some of the most flavorful, memorable food we had on the entire trip. Eight different tapas, paired with wines, spread across two local spots that clearly adored Joanne as much as she adored them. Nothing felt staged or touristy. Just authentic, delicious, and perfectly paced. By the end of the tour, we didn’t just feel like we had seen Cádiz. We felt like we understood it. The history, the culture, the resilience, and especially the food. Joanne didn’t just guide us through the city. She connected us to it. If you get her as your guide, you’re not just getting a tour. You’re getting Cádiz the way it’s meant to be experienced.
Such an amazing way to spend a few hours. Eat fantastic food and drink great sherry and vermouth, while learning about the history and culture of Cádiz. Our tour guide Adrienne was the best ever. Can’t recommend this highly enough!
This was a great way to see the beautiful city of Cadiz and try their local specialties. Andrea was a wonderful guide and really gave us a great overview of the history and culture. Make sure you are hungry, we had so much food!
Best way to explore culture and history with the added bonus of great food and drink!! Our guide was outstanding we absolutely loved our time and would highly recommend this adventure.
Absolutely do not hesitate to book this fantastic half day trip around Cadiz by a special tour leader Adrienne. This is a must for foodies and those keen to know about the history and influences on Cadiz in a fun, informative and filling way!
We booked this the day before due to changes on our cruise ship itinerary. The booking process was easy despite every other passenger on the ship immediately trying to book all tours in Cadiz. Our tour guide was AMAZING!!!!! From our initial contact to meeting us from the ship and the wonderful tour. We walked across the city and stopped at some brilliant places where we were given the history and also some great food and drinks. I was really sorry the tour came to an end but it was the very best day of our whole cruise. We also had a text from our guide the next day with a summary of everything we did and wishing us a happy anniversary. If your going to Cadiz book this tour it's great.
Our group of four couples have been traveling together for decades. We cannot remember a more delightful and satisfying tour in our history as we enjoyed with Adriane! Her ability to immerse us all in the local culture with heritage fortified wines paired with fresh foods and enthusiastic knowledge was amazing. We truly felt a part of her family and her community! Delicious (and hot off the grill!) tapas, many we had never tried before, were savored by everyone in our group. We can unreservedly recommend this tour with THIS special girl for those who want a great sensory experience in a 3-4 hour tour in Cádiz! Thank YOU Adriane!!!
