We took the 10pm trip and it was absolutely stunning. There are so many river cruises to choose from but the paddle steamer gave us plenty of time to take photos of the stunning buildings, whereas some of the more ‘modern’ boats looked like they were moving pretty quick. The boat, the staff and the experience were outstanding. Highly recommended.
Good location & ideal length of time for early evening cruise, glass of fizz on arrival & bar onboard for extras
Everything perfect and excellent experience
If you have arachnophobia DO NOT board this boat. Giant tarantulas are hanging from the ceiling. They drop into your drinks and hair! On the contrary the boat was quaint and the view was nice.
An absolutely wonderful city cruise in Budapest. We booked the evening historical cruise and timed it just around sunset. As it was the historical cruise we were on a wonderful old paddle steamer boat with just added to the magical atmosphere. The views were fantastic throughout and staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive from the moment we arrived in the queue. Also a lovely treat to be welcomed with a drink when getting on board - made it feel like an even more special treat. There were lots of boats operating city cruises but I’d definitely recommend the Duna historical cruise as it was at a much for leisurely pace and on a beautiful boat to match the stunning surroundings. Thank you!
Really enjoyed this boat and seeing the sights from the water. Originally planned for the evening tour however due to conservation efforts the lights were not turning on during our stay. The late afternoon was just as nice.
We took a tour on a paddle steamer in the late afternoon. Unfortunately, the audio guide did not work, and there were no announcements on the steamer about which sights you were currently seeing. That was a real shame. For tourists, it would be nicer if there were announcements about what is currently visible; I know that from Dresden. It also took longer for staff to arrive so that we could order something to drink. It was very hot that day and people were thirsty.
Excellent river cruise in a more traditional paddle steamer boat and without all the noise and music of other boats. Also at a speed that allowed us to enjoy the trip. Highly recommend this tour and in the evening at sunset made it more special
Beautiful boat with gorgeous scenery. But if you want to sit on the top deck, arrive at the dock and get in line early. The early birds who get in line an hour early get the top deck and those who come closer to the time of departure sit in the lower deck. It’s still gorgeous, but your choice is limited where you sit.
Thank you for your kind words! We’re happy that you enjoyed the cruise. While the upper deck is understandably very popular, the indoor area also offers a great sightseeing experience, with large panoramic windows, air conditioning, and the added convenience of being close to the bar. We hope to welcome you on board again!
I chose the 1:00 PM historical cruise. The staff is very attentive to the customers. We loved this little moment on the Danube in a ship with a period design. The package includes the one-hour cruise, a welcome drink, and an audio guide in many languages. It is better to have headphones, which we had not been advised of on the provider's site where we bought the package. It should be noted that the guide is also written, so we were able to read the information after the activity.
Thank you for sharing your kind feedback with us! We hope to see you again!
