Searching for shark and the rays This excursion begins in the crystal-clear waters of the lagoon of Bora Bora. With the water at knee height and the white sand under your feet, you will have the chance to walk among sting rays and black tip sharks. You will also be able to immerse yourself and swim with the tropical fish. Go in search of the different species of rays present in the lagoon of Bora Bora (Mantas, eagle rays, stingrays). Your guide will give you all the knowledge and recommendations you need to know for an optimal encounter with rays and sharks made with respect for animal life.

Our snorkeling trip was a real moment of pleasure, under a beautiful sun that enhanced the lagoon's waters. Our guide Alex knew how to prioritize safety throughout the trip, with clear instructions that allowed everyone to enjoy the experience with peace of mind. The explanations about the marine life, rich and fascinating, added a real educational dimension to this swim with the rays and sharks. Very nice experience with Moana Adventure Tours. Alex was an exceptional guide, very strict about safety, he explained a lot of things to us about the fish, the sharks, and the rays. We were able to see multicolored fish, the promised sharks, as well as a few rays. Our guide Tema helped us discover several spots and tried to show us as much as the sea had to offer us today; seahorses and an octopus embellished this long-awaited coral garden. This was me and my mom’s favorite excursion we did the entirety of our two weeks in French Polynesia. We booked this tour through a Windstar Cruise, and it was everything the description promised and more! To start off, we saw numerous black tips sharks and stingrays, countless beautiful fish and coral, and even bonus dolphins and a sea turtle! Our three tour guides, Epineson, Alex, and Cyril, made sure we were well informed on safety practices (especially since there was a stronger current) and how to ethically interact with the wildlife. Alex in particular was very humorous and knowledgeable, and he even got in the water at one point and taught my mom and I about the different fish swimming around us. We learned a lot about the marine life and living in Bora Bora, and we had so much fun seeing so many bucket list creatures! This was a 10/10 tour, and I would recommend it in a heartbeat.
