I wasn't planning to book any tours while in Mumbai, but this company and their impressive reviews jumped out at me. I had been nervous about eating local food due to having chrohn's disease. Our tour guide, Vrushali, did an amazing job of looking after us and answering all the many questions we had, while also informing us about the sites and foods we were exploring. What jumped out to me was the relationships Vrushali had everywhere we went and how that affected our experience. I will be looking both her and the company up again in the future. It's a lovely way to see the city, expand your food choices and meet new people!
Good cultural experience and exercise/..... ... . ........................ ......... ............. .
Wow! First night in Mumbai and what a way to see the streets and eat where the locals eat! Sunil was a fantastic tour guide explaining everything, sharing stories and information, whilst stopping at each of the 15 different food stops. Each one was a culinary experience that I will never forget and it exceeded my expectations and tastebuds of what to expect for the tour. Highly recommend for anybody particularly travelling solo as this was a great way to feel safe and try things you wouldn’t normally get to try!
A really fun tour through the bustling streets of downtown Mumbai. We stopped at loads of places, most of which I'd never have tried on my own, and all the food was all delicious! Such an interesting and knowledgeable guide. 4 hours flew by and a real bonus to travel on the local train (left foot down first when jumping off to avoid a nosedive!)
Excellent street food tour of Mumbai -- too much food, really. You get to try so many of the cuisines: vada pav, puri, Parsi cutlets, eggplant curry, pizza dosa, and so many more. I didn't really finish. Be ready for a lot of walking, there's a quick train trip and then around 2km of walking, but you get to see a lot too, like the traditional cloth market. And the guide knows a lot about Mumbai.
I had an amazing time on this tour and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mumbai! I was lucky that it ended up being just me, one other traveller, and our guide, Sunil, so the pace felt relaxed and personal. We could ask as many questions as we wanted. The food was fantastic. Even though we were only sampling small portions at each stop, there were so many dishes that I left completely full—so definitely come hungry! I also loved how thoughtfully the tour was curated. Instead of focusing on just a few famous snacks, it gave us a broad introduction to Mumbai's street food scene, so by the end I felt like I had a really good understanding of what makes it so special. A huge shout-out to Sunil. He is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and thoughtful. Beyond explaining the food, he shared so many interesting insights and practical tips about India in general. He also has a wonderful perspective on the city's culture and history, which made our conversations throughout the tour genuinely engaging. One of my favourite parts was getting to ride Mumbai's famously packed local train. It's something I probably wouldn't have experienced on my own, and it added a really authentic touch to the tour. The walking itself wasn't difficult for me, but keep in mind that you're in a busy, humid Asian city. Expect a fair amount of walking through crowded streets, but it's absolutely worth it.
The beginning was sensational; we traveled by train, which is an interesting experience. We ate at the beach and enjoyed the sunset. It was fantastic. The second part goes into the city, right in the middle of it. There was a lot of traffic and it was very loud. Not for the faint of heart. It simply belongs to the city. The guide was absolutely fantastic, very nice, and helpful. The food you get is very good.
Fantastic experience with Sunil. Felt like stepping back in time in places. Wonderful explanations - but most importantly fantastic food and an opportunity to see parts of Mumbai you would never find yourself. Do it!
Sunil was an excellent and knowledgeable guide. He was prepared to share a lot more than just his knowledge of food.
An excellent tour with a varied range of delicious Indian street food. You would never find these venues yourself - they were all carefully chosen for quality ensuring we ate nothing that could make us ill. It was such fun to try so many dishes I had never heard of before.
