Itinerary
Morro de arreia are the sanddunes located on Praia de Chaves. This is one of the most beautiful landscapes of the island. The view of the sanddunes going over into the ocean is breathtaking. This is also the location where we go sandboarding.
After the sanddunes we go first to the turtle bay and Shark bay. Here you can watch the turles and sharks in their natural habitat. Most turtles that can be seen are green turtles. Sometimes loggerhead turtles. At the shark bay you generally get to see lemon or nurse sharks. This is also the location where the baby sharks grow up until they are big enough before heading out to the deep waters. After the turtle bay and shark bay, we go to praia varandinha. This location is vamous for the ancient caves and where the loggerhead turtles nests during the nesting season.
After the caves we continue to santa monica beach. Santa monica beach is considered ass the most beautiful beach of Cape verde and certainly of Boa vista. With kilometers of untouhed and unspoiled white sandy beach. This beach is part of a nature reserve and nothing can be build here.
Povoação Velha is the first settlement of Boa vista. The old town is located between two mountains. They build the town here to protect themselves from raiding pirates. Nowadays it is a sleep town and still very traditionals. We start with a visit at Fabiana's bar/restaurant. Normally a place where only locals come. Here we' ll do the tasting of the local spirits such as grogue and pontche. We also try Fabiana's home made risois. After the tasting there is still time to go souvenir shopping on the tour square at the friendly local vendors.

It was a good trip, well run with a very energetic guide. Nice to see a different part of the island.
This was a great morning out in our holiday. Each stop was long enough to enjoy the moment without getting bored. We did see a couple of turtles but missed the sharks due to cloud coverage and low water. It did not take away from the beautiful scenery and knowledge of the tour leaders. The tour ended at the cafe for alcohol tasting. Unfortunately I don’t drink so my children and I were left to our own devices looking at the souvenirs. It would have been nice to felt included at this point.
Amazing tour. Unforgettable experience and such kind and informative guides! Would really recommend even with kids.
2 Fantastic Buggies Experiences and 4 X 4. Very comfortable cars and the Guides Arlindo and Gilson very friendly.
Excellent friendly staff who went out of their way to make the experience was great.Very recommended. Wish we would them sooner as we would of liked to do more trips with them instead of tui
Ok tour, but it felt too overcrowded with 9 guests crammed in to one vehicle. A lot of the tour was spent off roading on dirt roads and it gets uncomfortable in the back when it’s hot and there’s a lot of people crammed in with all the bumps and dips of the dirt roads. It’s also not easy to get in and out especially in flip flops / sandals. The guide Veronique was very nice and kept us well organised and on schedule. Only about half of the people in 3 groups worth of vehicles that came together at the same point did the sand boarding, it was a steep walk back up the sand putting people off, but the views were great. We saw 2 turtles and no sharks. The tasting of the local spirits at the end was very good. Overall it was nice to see some of the island but I thought it was expensive for what it was.
Absolutely incredible experience. I am so glad I did it. As a solo traveller I was welcomed and looked after the entire trip. Plenty of photos taken too! Lots of sightings of turtles! Thank you so much!
We had a wonderful day, touring all the most typical places on the island and getting to know its local life. Our guide Jackson made it special. 100% recommended
