Great surf spots Our three surf spots in Arrifana, Amoreira and Monte Clerigo in Portugal offer the best conditions for surfing in the Algarve at every level. Amazing instructors Our experienced and certified instructors with an ISA or FPS license will coach you and ensure you a great time on the water. Surf Theory At the beginning of the surf course, you will get to know the characteristics of the waves, currents and tides. Your surf instructor will also tell you the basics about the surf equipment. Modern equipment Our surf school is equipped with easy-to-use soft boards, which ensure the necessary safety on the water. The long and comfortable neoprene suits from Ocean and Earth offer you the best possible freedom of movement and keep you warm in the water for a while.

We were surfing for the first in our lives and by the end of the first lesson we were already able to ride some smaller waves! It was so much and the instructors were very helpful. (Ours was Angel)
It was a great experience. The guides took an incredible amount of time and were totally motivating. I had a lot of fun.
Great surf camp. We stayed there as a family of four (all beginners). We benefited from excellent surf teachers (specifically the more experienced ones) who adjusted to adults and kids alike. Great food and nice experience sharing with the community of guests.
It was a beautiful morning dedicated to surfing and fun. All the instructors were fantastic, very kind, patient, nice, and helpful. Especially our private instructor Tyler, really super good!!

We had a bit of a tough start to our excursion with some miscommunication. The company took responsibility for it and compensated us for their errors. The lesson itself was awesome. Our instructors, Ty and Barti, were fantastic. They were patient and broke the steps down well. They attended equally to everyone in the lesson and worked to make sure everyone was able to get up on the board, and then challenged those who got up easily. Our kids loved it and this was their favourite activity of the entire vacation!
Superb introduction to surfing, shout-out to Tyler who is very friendly and a great teacher. I rode my first wave and reached level 1. Would do it again!
I had a great experience with Algarve watersports! The Ubers around Lagos are a little tricky during high season and they answered my messages and waited for me to arrive. The beach they chose was a dream! The instructor was very patient and kind. Overall wonderful experience! 10/10 would recommend! I actually signed up to do it again!
This was our first surfing lesson, both for us and our children, and we truly cannot say enough positive things about this experience. We were a little nervous at first, but all of that disappeared as soon as we arrived and met our instructors. They took the time to thoroughly explain everything and made sure we felt comfortable and confident before getting in the water. There was plenty of practice on the beach, going over the techniques and movements, which made a huge difference. Since we were surfing with our children, ages 11, 13, and 15, we had two instructors for all five of us. They were incredibly patient and attentive, taking extra time with our kids to ensure they felt supported and had fun. It was very much appreciated. The water was cold, but the wetsuits they provided were perfect and kept us comfortable. The beach they recommended had ideal waves for beginners and could not have been a better setting for our first surfing experience. We would highly recommend this surf school to anyone—especially families looking to try surfing for the first time. It was one of the highlights of our trip and created memories we will never forget!

I’m really glad I found Algarve Watersport in Lagos! Highly recommended if you want to learn how to surf. The instructors Noemi — Surf Instructor and Bjorn and are professional, patient, and very supportive, which makes the whole experience fun and easy even for beginners.
