A unique phenomenon created by the collision of the Bay of Fundy and the Saint John River. At low tide the river empties into the bay causing a series of rapids and whirlpools. As tides rise they slow the river current for a brief period called slack tide. The Bay's tides continue to rise, gradually reversing the flow of the river; rapids form again, peaking at high tide. A 8.5-metre (28-foot) tide cycle is roughly 12.5 hours.

Enjoyed our excursion

Keith our driver was very knowledgeable about St. John New Brunswick Canada. We visited the hot spots all over. The scenery was beautiful, the Fundy water was exciting to see the low tide then saw them at high tide. I would do this excursion again.

Smaller is Better

Seeing the sights influenced by the Bay of Fundy tides was a fantastic experience in St. John. My wife and I traveled in a small, comfortable van with only three other people, which made it far superior to booking the same type of excursion from our cruise ship. Henry, our driver and guide, was exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating.

Great tour with a great tour guide.

We had the best tour! Haidari (Henry) was our your guide, and he was outstanding! We started our your at 9am and it lasted until 5:15pm. It would have lasted longer, but I was afraid we would miss our cruise ship boarding. Haidari did everything he could do to make the tour the best possible. He took us to many places that were not even mentioned in the ad. We got to see the Reversing Falls at high tide and also at low tide. We got to walk the Beach at the Bay of Fundy and see the caves. It was a great day, one that we will never forget. Thank you Haidari (Henry) for the wonderful tour.

An unforgettable experience from start to finish

Our tour of Saint John and St. Martins was the perfect mix of history, breathtaking scenery, and local charm. The Reversing Falls were a natural wonder I would only ever read about, but seeing them in person was magical. Walking along the sea caves at low tide in St. Martins felt like stepping into another world, and the colorful covered bridges made for perfect photo spots. Our guide Henry was knowledgeable, friendly, and full of fascinating stories about the Loyalist history and the Bay of Fundy. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting New Brunswick

Great tour Henry!

Excellent wide ranging tour. We really appreciated that the tour did not get cancelled despite the cruise ships couldn’t get into port in time for the scheduled tour. As a result we ended up on a private tour with Henry as our guide and we had the most fantastic day! Henry is very knowledgeable on the Saint John history and it was a real pleasure to spend our day with him.
