For the young and the young at heart feeding time at the Barbados Wildlife Reserve is an exciting event. The sanctuary staff will be delivering food for the monkeys within the forest, attracting wildlife that inhabit this special place. Deer, tortoise, iguana, peacocks and of course the highlight is the Barbados Green Monkey. This short but fun tour visits the reserve just in time for this event. An added bonus to the tour is a stop North Point where you will enjoy spectacular views of the Atlantic surf crashing into the cliffs.

For the young and the young at heart feeding time at the Barbados Wildlife Reserve is an exciting event; deer, tortoise, iguana, peacocks and of course the highlight is the Barbados Green Monkey. The monkeys are not captive and therefore have the freedom to come in and out of the reserve. Feeding time is the most opportune time to view them at the reserve and we do see them there 99% of the time. An added bonus to the tour is a stop at Barclays Park on the East Coast and North Point where you will enjoy spectacular views of the Atlantic surf crashing into the cliffs. We visit North Point Barbados for the great views of the waves crashing onto the cliff. The Animal Flower Cave is also located at North Point But the entrance fees to the cave are not included in this tour. During the Months of Dec to April Humpback whales migrate through the Caribbean. North Point is one of the popular viewing sights.

Pickup Locations & Times
PLEASE READ ALLL OF THE BELLOW INFORMATION AS IT GREATLY IMPACTS YOUR EXCURSION. We offer pick-ups at close to 300 locations across Barbados, a combination of Hotels, condominiums and villas. Please note that we only pick up from Hotels and Villas along the south and west coast. If your tour is NOT a private tour, you may have up to 4 other pick-up points beside your own pick up at your accommodation. Most of the time these pick-ups are done within a 5k distance of but occasionally they are within 8km. Some tours the picks ups are along the route to the first attraction so they may be more spread out across a wider section of the island. Pick-ups are arranged in such manner, so they do not take up a lot of your day. Because we are unaware of where these pick-ups will be at the time of your booking, we will give you a wide window of time for your pick-up. On the afternoon before your tour, we will contact you by email to provide you with a more accurate pick-up time within the window provided to you at this time. YOUR PICK-UP WINDOW IS: 8:30am-10:40am PLEASE NOTE !! If you do not enter or select a pick up location your tour will be cancelled as without this information we can not collect you for the tour. PLEASE submit the name of your hotel or accommodation at the time of booking!

- We require a minimum of 2 persons to run this tour if the minimum has not been met you will be contacted at least 36 hours before to cancel the tours and you will be given an alternate date or refunded
- PLEASE NOTE !! If you do not enter or select a pick up location your tour will be cancelled as without this information we can not collect you for the tour. PLEASE submit the name of your hotel or accommodation at the time of booking. If your accommodation is not listed please select the closest hotel to your accommodation. Once your booking is made please then contact us through the message center to advise us of the location you are staying. Please be mindful we only pick up from coastal areas along the South and West Coast unless you are booked on a private tour or your booking is 10 or more persons. In such cases we can make exceptions.
- If you suffer from motion sickness, we recommend taking precautions before the start of the tour. Please also advise your tour guide. Whilst we can sympathize and will try to make you as comfortable as possible our island roads can be bumpy at windy. We must also ensure we take care of all our customers and ensure the cleanliness of the vehicle. If you are ill on board, you will be required to reimburse the driver before the end of the tour for the cleaning fee of between US seventy five and one hundred and fifty dollars. Shein is an amazing guide, really funny and welcoming. He is very knowledgeable about the history of Barbados, the sights we visited and also how to ensure the journey to the pick up points, sites were not awkward or uncomfortable, given we all met each other for the first time. I really enjoyed the experience, the views and people. Just note, you witness feeding time, you do not get to feed the monkeys.
The monkey feeding and nature reserve was fun to visit. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.
Our driver was Steven. He was excellent, friendly, knowledgeable and fun. We were collected from our hotel, it wasn’t on the orginal hotel pick up list, I emailed to ask to be collected from there instead and it was accommodated with no problem. The monkeys and the sanctuary were fun. Saw plenty of animals and had an additional stop at the flower cave north of the island which was fabulous for views and a cold beer. Tips: wear proper trainers, or shoes. Flip flops aren’t good for some of the uneven pathways around the forest area. Take some cash. You stop for a photo and there are a couple of stalls with locals selling a few souvenirs. It’s how they make their living and nice to give to them your cash rather than the larger stores. Overall it was a great trip and highly recommend.
This was well worth doing, the tour guide was lovely and was giving us a talk most of the journey he interacted with us and gave us interesting info about Barbados. But most importantly, the monkeys looked so healthy and happy they were not in the cage and the staff were very good at telling tourists not to touch them and not to feed them.. they really looked after the animals as well. I would highly recommend this tour. Was delighted to see the monkeys Free and happy. 😃
What an amazing day! Our guide Charles was brilliant and very knowledgeable about the island as he took us to the animal sanctuary. Charles even ensured our son saw the Caiman by taking him to them personally, he didn't expect such close encounter! Feeding the monkeys was an unexpected treat. Charles stopped off so we could buy mangos and coconuts and took us to some lovely view points and animal flower cave. Would highly recommend this trip.

There are 3 stops. Animal Flower Cave, Green Monkey Feeding with Nature Walk thru Wildlife Reserve and Cherry Tree Hill. All picturesque.

For the price, this was a good tour. Historical commentary on the sites that we visited was not included when we were on site. It was more of a stop at each point so you can venture on your own. Monkeys were amazing - so many to see!
