Itinerary
The route stops at: * Wat Paknam and Big Buddha – famous for its giant Big Buddha and stunning emerald-glass pagoda. Inside its dazzling stupa, visitors are treated to cosmic ceiling murals and a serene atmosphere that makes this historic temple both peaceful and awe-inspiring.
* Artist House and the community – aka Baan Silapin is a 200-year-old wooden house that has been lovingly transformed into a cultural haven. With its creaky teak floors, colorful murals, and quirky art displays, it feels like stepping into another era where creativity and tradition meet.
* Talat Phlu food market – is one of Bangkok’s most beloved local markets, famous for its mouth watering street food and authentic neighborhood charm. By day, the market buzzes with stalls selling fresh produce, traditional Thai desserts, and everyday goods. But it’s at night when Talad Phlu truly comes alive.
Wat Nak Prok is dedicated to one of the most iconic episodes in Buddhist lore—the moment when the Buddha was shielded from torrential rain by the *Naga*, a mythical serpent-like being. As the Buddha meditated toward enlightenment, the Naga rose from the waters and curled protectively around him, creating a shelter from the flood. This powerful story is beautifully reflected in the temple’s imagery and atmosphere.

It was a fun trip and we saw the big buddah, temples and various restaurants along the shore. The hosts were great and allowed us time to visit and explore attractions
This hop-on hop-off canal tour was a fantastic way to experience Bangkok from a different perspective, with beautiful views and the freedom to explore at our own pace. The stops at the Artist House, Wat Paknam, and Talat Phlu made it easy to discover local culture beyond the usual tourist attractions. The boat was comfortable, the driver was friendly, and I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a relaxing and unique sightseeing experience.
We had an amazing time on this longtail boat tour! I joined the tour with my family, including my two 20-year-old sons, and we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Traveling on a small traditional boat made the journey feel authentic and fun, and we loved being able to hop on and off to visit highlights such as the Big Buddha, the Artist’s House, and Wat Nak Prok. The meeting point was also very convenient, located just a short walk from the subway station. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and enjoyable way to explore the area!
It was a lot of fun. The boat ride was exciting. The tour guide explained everything very well. It was easy to get to Wat Pak Nam and the tour was very efficient.
This tour includes a hop on hop off experience, which includes total of 4 destinations. It was fun traveling along the narrow canal around the Thonburi area. Just watch out when boarding or leaving the boat, it may take a bit of strength, as the boat may not be at its best level depending on the river tides conditions.
I went on a boat tour in Bangkok. It was my first canal boat tour and I was excited. It was interesting to see local life along the river from the boat in a rather small river. Trying to catch fish in the river? I was able to see local uncles, monitor lizards, herons (birds) and other unexpected scenes. I felt that it was Thailand that everyone greeted each other with a sadhika as the boats passed by. I got off the boat a couple of times because it was hot, choosing a time starting at noon. I have seen the local art community and the big Buddha close by. It is recommended to enjoy it enough without getting off at all stops.
it was a great afternoon. Glad we booked the trip. The description said to book a time, but you can hop on at any time however that day they did not have many customers and so they weren’t continuing to run once we contacted them they graciously sent someone and took us later. Their efforts were much appreciated.
The boat tour was a really memorable experience and one of the highlights of my time in Thailand. The scenery was beautiful, the water was calm, and the whole trip felt relaxed without being boring. The crew was friendly, helpful, and made sure everyone was comfortable throughout the ride. I also liked that there was enough time to take photos, enjoy the views, and actually take in the surroundings instead of feeling rushed. It was a great and really peaceful way to see a different side of Thailand from the water. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting.
Had a lovely canal tour—very relaxing and a great way to see the city from a different perspective. The views were beautiful, and the guide shared interesting facts along the way. Definitely worth trying if you want something calm and enjoyable!
Great tour to get to know a completely different side of Bangkok. Has worked great and is highly recommended!
