Auschwitz Birkenau: Live-Guided Tour with Transportation and Hotel Pickup

Description
Visit the largest former Nazi concentration camp on a 7-hour tour from Krakow. Learn more about the Nazi program of "Abreit Macht Frei" and the genocide of World War II. Explore the gas chambers and barracks with a licensed English speaking guide from Auschwitz Birkenau State Museum. The live guide is in English. Other language options available only with the guide book. On certain days, due to the high number of bookings, especially those made at the last minute, I reserve the right to substitute a English speaking guide from the Auschwitz Birkenau Museum with a guide in another available language. As a partial compensation, we will purchase English guide books and lunchboxes for you on that day. The official regulations of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum do not specify an age restriction; however, given the scale of the atrocities that took place at the camp, we do not recommend visits for children under the age of 14.

Pickup Locations & Times
We will pick you up from any address in Kraków. Mostly we use 8 pax minivans. On certain days, we reserve the right to replace the minivan with a larger car and to arrange a meeting point instead of a hotel pick-up. This is due to the high volume of bookings, the number of our cars is limited, at the same time we want to ensure that everyone can book. Day before we will inform you about exact pick up time from yours address. You will be informed by WhatsApp/email or text message about the exact time a day before the tour. Very Important : Due to the growing interest in reservations at the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum, we would like to encourage you to make your reservations as early as possible. This is in order to 100 % guarantee a visit at a convenient time with an English-speaking guide. To do so, we need your names and surnames at least one month before the visit. PLESE NOTE; We ask for your understanding, these regulations are not our ideas. They are the regulations of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum to which we must to adapt.

Hasty visit with untruthful booking information, booked for 9:00 AM and confirmed, subsequently the time was changed to 6:05 AM. English tour planned with documentation in Italian, which was not given to us. 8-hour tour confirmed, 6.5 actual hours, too much rushing.
Cordiali saluti, ComFort Tours Cracow
We booked a tour to Auschwitz/Birkenau on 08/08/26 for 110 EUR p.p. (with a professional, advanced art historian). We previously received consultation by phone and pointed out several times that we absolutely needed a tour with a German-speaking guide. This was a main premise for us, which was confirmed several times by the lady in customer service. The confirmation via email then stated "Deutsc - Text". We did not attach any special meaning to the word "Text" at first, but rather trusted the verbal confirmations from the lady. But that was a mistake, because we found out on-site, the day before at 6:00 PM with the notification of the specific pickup time of 6:10 AM, that it is an English tour. We would have liked to cancel, but this is only possible 24 hours before the start of the trip. So that point in time had passed. So we started this trip after all. The driver was not a tour guide, because he did not say a word, but instead listened to the radio during the drive. Arriving in Auschwitz, the tour was conducted at a high pace. Reflecting or feeling was hardly possible there. Especially since we only partially understood the guide (the art historian) and also did not have any text material in German in our hands. Before the start of the tour in Birkenau, we received a German text - a booklet that describes a tour. However, reading it during the tour was hardly possible, since the pace was just as it was in Auschwitz I. This is only feasible if one arrives as an individual tourist. Several phone calls with VIATOR customer service, in which we complained about the consulting error made by customer service before booking and also pointed out the call recording from 08/08, were fruitless regarding a partial refund. The request to be connected to an employee with decision-making authority was unsuccessful; an announced callback did not occur. Our impression of the visit itself: it is good that many people are interested in this place and the crimes. However, this also leads to "mass tourism" with the corresponding negative aspects. Thus, the tours are also poorly suited for "facing" these crimes; they are very rational tours. Individual visits are preferable, although they must be booked very early.
Very reliable organization. Clear communication in advance, picked up at the agreed time and place (our hotel), Mikalj (oh, I forgot his name, I am so sorry!) is a resonsable driver and a friendly guy. Comfortable minibus. Lunch boxes available, well 'stuffed' this a reasonable private (€ 50)
Thank you
Cancelled our tour at 3pm the day before leaving us with no option to book with another or to arrange our own transport. We’d book via our hotel two months im advance and had an email confirmation.
We really apologise for inconvience. The Museum cancell ur guide, we tried to find solution but it was too late.

A certainly engaging experience, it's a pity that the tour was supposed to be in Italian and instead it took place in English
