Walnuts, cherries, and waterfalls in the fertile Imlil valley. A varied and interesting day out of the hot city.

We had a very happy day in the Atlas mountains with Mustapha and Redouan. We had a relaxed drive to the mountains with a few stops along the way, one at a viewing place (with a tourist shop) and one at an Argan oil roadside cooperative. The ladies here gave us tea and a snack of olives, bread, and olive oil and peanut dip before a quick explanation and demonstration of the argan oil production process and the products in the shop. At both these places, there is no real pressure to buy. We also quickly visited a rural Saturday souk. Mustapha led us on a walk around, then back to the bus. Redouan dropped us in a hill village and from there Mustapha led us on a lovely and invigorating 90 min walk up through further villages, alongside fruit trees, stream rills and refreshing waterfalls to our lunch in a village house. It was a lentil soup and the tagine of your choice, plentiful and very tasty. Afterwards, Mustapha joined us for mint tea on the terrace. Mustapha grew up in the Imlil valley so is well qualified to talk about the area to visitors. He is a confident and measured young guide, helpful and very knowledgeable about the region. We were well looked after and enjoyed our day very much.☺️ 100% recommended👍 Shukran Mustapha and Redouan.

Great experience

We had a brilliant hike up the Atlas Mountains with Mustapha and Hamid. It was really well paced, with plenty of time to take in the views and enjoy the experience without ever feeling rushed. The meal in the Berber house was lovely, warm, generous and such a special part of the day. We also stopped at an argan oil cooperative, which was interesting and relaxed, with absolutely no pressure to buy anything. Mustapha and Hamid were great throughout, friendly, knowledgeable and very safety conscious. The whole trip felt thoughtful, authentic and incredibly good value. Highly recommend.

Wonderful Family Experience in the Atlas Mountains

We did this tour as a family and honestly it was one of the best days of our holiday in Morocco. Everything was very well organized, from the hotel pickup in the morning to the drop-off in the evening, which made the day easy and stress-free for us. El Houssain was an amazing guide – so friendly, patient, and full of knowledge about the Atlas Mountains and Berber culture. He made everyone feel welcome and was especially kind with our family throughout the day. We loved visiting the local market, where we could see everyday life in the villages, and the stop at the women’s Argan cooperative was very interesting. The hike was beautiful and manageable, with stunning mountain views and two lovely waterfalls along the way. Lunch at a local family home was a real highlight. We would absolutely recommend this tour to families visiting Marrakech.

Amazing Day in the atlas mountains

My friends and I had such a fantastic day on this tour. It was the perfect chance to see another side of Morocco beyond Marrakech, and the hotel pickup and drop-off made everything very easy. El Houssain was an exceptional guide who made the whole day fun and interesting. He shared stories, explained local traditions, and kept everyone engaged with his humour and warm personality. It was clear he is very respected in the valley, as everyone seemed to know him. We loved exploring the traditional market, stopping at the women’s cooperative for breakfast, and hiking through the mountains to the waterfalls. Lunch in a Berber family home was unforgettable – one of the best meals we had during our stay. Hamid drove carefully through the mountain roads and kept us entertained with great music along the way, i would give 10/10.

Fantastic experience

My friends and I booked this excursion through Booking at a derisory price for what we later found. It was a trip around from the chaos and fantastic tourism. Our Mustapha guide allowed us to discover typical places and immerse ourselves in the life of Berber villages, lunch was exquisite and in general the whole day was wonderful. Thanks also to the driver Hamid who kindly allowed us to leave our luggage on board to fully enjoy the excursion. Super recommended

Good day In Essaouira, but with a late start and an even later finish

Our tour to Essaouira got off to a rocky start. Although there was good communication updating us about our delayed pick up, the vehicle was 30-45 minutes later than the scheduled time. The driver did give our group an extra 30 minutes in Essaouira to compensate. Unfortunately that turned out to just make our return much later than anyone expected. After a long rest stop where the driver gave each participant a link, requesting us to post a good review, we were made even later. Between heavy rain and an extremely long wait at a toll, our return journey became somewhat of a nightmare. The driver tried to overcompensate, and drove quite fast and erratically the rest of the way back. We actually considered asking him to pull over, so that we could call a taxi. We finally arrived back to our location one hour and 30 minutes past the posted time. The day spent in Essaouira itself was lovely and would highly recommend. However I can’t recommend this company.

Nice outing to port city with no over-promising

The trip matched what had been described in the itinerary to the tee: no overpromising and underdelivering (as was the case with some other tours we had while in Morocco). That was even more commendable given that the guide was unable to join us due to transport issues, and driver Redouane had to take over his job. And he did that superbly - very clear communication all along the trip about what’s coming up, while avoiding information overload, AND he had a great sense of humor!

Beautiful day trip

Driver and guide were very helpful. It was easy to find meeting points. We got to see more of Morocco and learn some history along the way as well as four hours to roam Essaouira.

A Great Day Trip to Authentic Morocco

We had a great time on our day trip to Essaouira with Mustapher. Mustapher was very well informed about the region, the history of Morocco and Essaouira in particular. It’s such an amazing part of the world with so many influences and such a long recorded history. Highlights were the argan oil farm - check out the argan honey - and Essaouira (Mogador) itself with its long history and authentic Medina full of locals going about their daily lives. The Atlantic Ocean hitting the shores from the much filmed ramparts was another highlight. Thanks again.
