A good guide makes the difference 👍

Peter is a passionate guide who was well informed about the history and settlement of Tasmania. We wandered into historic buildings I did not realise the public had access to. It was a very enjoyable walking tour, which I would recommend

Operator response

Thank you Christine for your lovely feedback and comments. I am very pleased you enjoyed both individual tours exploring Hobart. Hopefully both of you had a great time visiting our island state. Best wishes, Peter Lutz Salamanca Walk

A interesting way to immerse yourself in the history of the people and architecture of early Hobart.

Peter’s history knowledge, enthusiasm and love of Hobart made for a memorable tour. His story style presentation and photographs of early Hobart took us back in time. The past came to life! There was the opportunity to ask questions to follow up on our particular interests. We would highly recommend Peter’s tour to enhance your visit to Hobart. We also appreciated the restaurant recommendations.

Abel Tasman treats

We had a really great day out in the Abel Tasman National Park but with some tweaking it could have been better. All it would take is a different parking spot. First book with Aqua Taxis, they take smaller boats of about 10/12 people on a terrific and thrilling ride which starts on dry land. We were dropped off at Anchorage which is a walk of approximately 12/15 Kms back to the car park. The views are stunning and the track is good. It’s a moderately easy walk. The Park Cafe which is situated on the same road as Aqua Taxis is really great, ice cold beers and perfect pizzas, as well as other eating and drinking options. We parked at Aqua Taxis premises which is about a Km down the road. If you park in th National Park site adjacent to The Park Cafe, then as you walk off the boardwalk leaving the Abel Tasman at the end of your walk, the beer and pizza are a perfect end to a perfect day.
