Anne Frank's Last Walk & See Anne Frank House in Virtual Reality

Description
Millions of people travel to Amsterdam to see where the Frank family hid from the Nazis. In this guided tour, we retrace part of the route Anne took on her journey to the hiding place. Travelling back in time to WWII Amsterdam, we'll learn about Anne's life & the ‘secret annex’ and experience Anne’s emotions during the dark days of war. The tour ends near Anne Frank house where you enter the Secret Annex via a virtual reality recreation (made by the Anne Frank Foundation). Entering the hiding place through the bookcase, you'll see that unlike the actual house, the VR house still has furniture, giving a feel of how it was to live there in 1942-44. There’s no crowds, you have the virtual Anne Frank house to yourself to explore at your own pace. This is as close to the real thing as you can get, without stepping foot in the house. Ideal for those who can’t get tickets or access to the Annex. ** This tour does NOT start at Anne Frank House** No additional purchases required

We will walk over Amsterdam's longest canal for about 20 mins. We will see canal houses, bridges, numerous houseboats and a lot of people on bicycles.
We will pass Johnny Jordaan square. The famous square of Amsterdam's most famous folk singers.
Amsterdam's most beautiful church in the city centre. The famous Westerkerk, a 17th century reformed church built for the rich people in the canal district. Rembrandt is buried over here.
Next to the Westerkerk there is a beautiful little statue of Anne Frank as a remembrance. We will have a short stop here.

Take a look at one of the most beautiful canals in Amsterdam, de Bloemgracht.
Virtual Reality Tour of the Anne Frank House. You will see the hiding place and how it looked during the years of WW2.

Super tour with Sophia, she was brilliant and it was very moving. We took our three reluctant teens and they all loved it!
We thoroughly enjoyed the guided walk. Michael was very informative and answered all of our questions. The walk was relaxed and we felt that it was great value. Would highly recommend.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We’re really glad you enjoyed the walk with Michael. We’ll be very happy to pass your kind words on to him.
Knowledgeable guide and very interesting. The VR at the end was a great way to experience the Anne Franke house.
Thank you so much. We’re really glad you enjoyed the tour and found the VR experience such a meaningful way to explore Anne Frank’s story.
Sophie was an excellent guide who made the tour fun and informative! The Virtual reality tour of Anne’s hiding place was fantastic!
Thank you so much. We’re thrilled you had such a great time with Sophie. We’ll be sure to pass your lovely words on to her.
Wonderful time! Makes me sad to think about how many people were lost in WW2. As a Christian, we how there all in Jesus arms now.
Thank you for such heartfelt words. We’re so glad the tour touched you personally and gave you space to reflect. Thank you for joining Amsterdam Experiences.
It's very hard to get Ann Frank house entrance unless you book well in advance and we didnt! This tour is probably better and we had a great experience with Guido our guide. He was very knowledgeable and informative about a grave situation, answering all our questions with thought and consideration. The walk was interesting and the VR experience amazing! You get to see the house exactly how it was and are not rushed at all. The actual house now is unfurnished but the VR display was furnished and very realistic. I would highly recommend this tour.
Thank you so much for this lovely review! We’re delighted you had such a great experience with Guido and enjoyed both the walk and the VR. It really does bring the story and the house to life in such a powerful way. We’ll be sure to pass your kind words on to Guido. Thank you for recommending us.
Very rich experience, anround and beyond Anne Frank. Our guide Caase is well prepared, knowledgeable and friendly. Walking Amsterdam with him gives a new depth more than meets the eye. VR experience was a good use of modern technology and allows the viewers a more immediate experience of the annex. It would not haven’t been as impactful if we just went to the Anne Frank house.
Thank you so much for this thoughtful review! We’re delighted that Kees brought so much depth and context to the experience and that the VR element helped make the story of the Annex feel even more meaningful. We really appreciate you taking the time to share this.
Finding the starting point for this tour is very difficult. I would suggest meeting in front of the passage way into the courtyard near the lizard sculptures. Otherwise, the tour was exceptional and engaged the whole family ages 11, 14, 40 somethings and 74. We were not able to get tickets for Anne Frank House, but this tour bridged the gap. VR experience was great.
Hi Deborah, I'm sorry that you found it difficult to find the meeting place, but we start at a very specific point that is relevant to the tour. The area that you suggested is also very busy with tourists and people hanging around, and is not a good meeting location for groups. The address that you had was correct; you just needed to go to the main entrance of the restaurant, rather than stand underneath a random window at the back of the building. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the tour once you located the group.
Keep was a very good.He was very knowledgeable and easy going. The virtual tour was even more exciting. All of us enjoyed his story telling skills.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We’re very happy to hear that you enjoyed the tour with Kees. Thank you for joining Amsterdam Experiences and for sharing your impressions from the tour.
Lovely walk, very good guide (Michael), knowledgeable and engaging. Very important to keep the legacy of Anne going, and this is an important part of this.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful review. We’re very glad you enjoyed the walk with Michael. Keeping Anne Frank’s legacy alive is incredibly important to us, so your words mean a lot.
