Hi Ari, we're sorry to hear that the Amsterdam light festival cruise did not live up to your expectations. We are glad the captain did a good job. Kind regards. Stromma - Team
Nice Amsterdam canal experience to see the attractions of the Light Festival! It was worth it: fairly new boats ,with nice heat inside. Perfect and efficient organization with maximum respect for the booked time. Good!
Dear Isamassi, thank you for your positive review. Also thank you for the compliments about our boat. We value your review and hope to see you back on board with us soon. Kind regards. Stromma - Team
Three languages, not two as advertised. French and Dutch was live over loudspeaker and English was precorded. English prerecording was often cut out /overidden so that other two language talks could be spoken. Also, the speakers couldn’t accommodate the guide’s voice and so caused distortion. It was all loud and confusing- seemingly chaotic. It was not a relaxing enjoyable ride.
Hi Alice, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us, we're truly sorry to hear about the issues with the audio guide. We'll be addressing these concerns. Kind regards, Stromma – Team
I want to start off by saying that the tour guide was great. Wonderful dry humour and interesting tidbits of information. Smooth boating. Splendid. Almost everything else was subpar or not good - the seats were too small to sit without jamming your knees against the seat in front. The boat was filled with drunk people who were somewhere in-between talking loudly and yelling almost constantly. In many cases the boat went too fast to properly see the light art. The other passengers were so rowdy it took a lot of concentration to hear the audio guide about the artworks. Luckily I could pay for mine and my partner's ticket with Viator points, because if I'd paid for it with money I would have been sorely disappointed. As it was now, it was an overstimulating and tiring experience that I would not enjoy to repeat but was made bearable by my partner's presence and the tour guide's wonderful attitude. I plan on going past the tour stops again on my bike to have a proper look and will do that next year, too.
Hi Imke, Great to hear that the guide did such a good job. We are sorry to hear that the crowd, the seats and the atmosphere had a negative effect on the tour. Our apologies, Stromma - Team
bad weather puts a damper on the ability to take grate pics. Not the provider's fault. Fog on the inside and raindrops on the outside. But the views are astounding
EXTREMELY BORING. BARELY HAD LIGHTS. Complete waste of money. A lil girl that sat behind me maybe 5 yrs old pretended to fall asleep n when she "woke" up she asked her mom did I miss more boring stuff... definitely not considered light festival.
The boat is closed, therefore protected from wind and rain. The windows could also be opened for photos. Our guide Ricky explained all the artworks to us in detail. He knew several foreign languages. There was delicious mulled wine (alternatively hot chocolate). The many artworks are impressive! It was a cozy, entertaining and informative tour with many impressions.
Hey there, we are thrilled to hear you enjoyed our Amsterdam Light festival cruise, we hope to welcome you back again this year!
The recorded audio was extremely boring and felt like a commuter ferry. A more lively crew narrating would have made the ride far more interesting.
The worst tour ever !! From the manager to the ticket guys They were very ruddee !! DONT BUT FROM THEM!! DON'T BUY FRON THEM!!
The Amsterdam Lightfestival is a dream. We took a lot of pictures. The audio guide was very emotional and upgraded the canal tour extremely. I'm sure we'll do it again.
