Enjoyed the information provided. However, it wasn’t easy to find where to catch the bus based on information on website. Ask your hotel concierge - the advice there was spot on
Very convenient to transfer from boat to bus as needed. Easy to walk locations. Information provided by automatic system and drivers was useful.
Just don’t is my advice Unreliable service, no accountability And boat captain was a hideous person both rude and homophobic After emailing a complaint it was fobbed off Been of hop on hop off all over the world This one is shocking
Dear Rosanne, Thank you for the honest feedback. We’re very sorry to hear that your experience was so disappointing, especially regarding the service and your interaction with the boat captain. We take concerns about staff behaviour seriously and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We will share your feedback with the team. Kind regards
Don't go bus... Maybe the canal is better. I stupidly thought this would be a good way to suss the lay of the city. My bad. We were roasted and toasted under perspex for over an hour. I really recommend walking instead... This beautiful city should be seen as it was intended to, and that's definitely not from a bus, under perspex mid summer. Totally my mistake.
Dear Sharon, Thank you for the honest feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the bus ride was too warm and uncomfortable during your visit. Amsterdam is certainly beautiful to explore in many ways, and we’re glad you also considered seeing the city from the canals. We appreciate your comments and hope your next visit is a cooler and more enjoyable one! Kind regards
This was a good way to get get acclimated to the city. We always enjoy this at the beginning of a new trip/location. The pick-up stops weren’t well marked at all. I know there is a law regarding signage in Amsterdam, perhaps you can think of another way to do this..: marking on the ground?
Nice way to get an overview of the city. The stops could be hard to find if you wanted to get on at a different place than you got off. For us it was better to just go through the entire route in one sitting. We enjoyed the boat more than the bus.
Terrible! Not worth the money at all. You go around the city by bus on an uninteresting route and receive very little information about Amsterdam. An absolute disappointment. Bus stops without signage, forced 30-minute break at the diamond dealer. Complete waste of money.
Dear Christina, Thank you for the honest feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the route, stop information and commentary did not meet your expectations. We also understand your frustration with the stop and waiting time. We appreciate you sharing your experience, as it helps us see where we can improve. Kind regards
River cruise better than the bus ride. However the cruise captain was quite rude and condescending. This was quite surprising as we have never encountered this in a Hop on Hop bus before
We ended up not able to use this terrible HOHO service because what is not mentioned is each bus stop is a 30 to 45 minute wait on the bus and boats. It is not really a way to explore Amsterdam as it would literally take you all day to make it through all the stops. I am guessing they do not have enough boats, buses or drivers and/or do not want to spend expensive gas running them. We could not get a refund even though we did not use the tickets. Do yourself a favor and download the Amsterdam public transit app. Much cheaper, flexible and faster way to see the city.
the hoho bus was okay however, the hoho boat was disappointing! it only ran for the first day(24hrs) and did not operate the 2nd day! company claims a "special parade celebration" was happening on the river so not able to operate their boats. however, many other boats and other company boats were running and sailing that same day!!??
