Itinerary
Amsterdam Oosterdok, once a bustling 19th-century harbor, is now a vibrant district blending historic charm with modern architecture. Key attractions include the NEMO Science Museum and the National Maritime Museum. The area offers scenic waterfront views and a mix of residential, commercial, and recreational spaces.
Houseboat Alley in Amsterdam is a unique residential area where traditional houseboats line the picturesque canals. This charming neighborhood offers a distinctive living experience, blending the city's maritime heritage with modern comforts. It's a popular spot for visitors to explore Amsterdam's iconic waterways and experience life on the water.
The Amstel is the biggest canal of all and Amsterdam was founded from this canal which was originally a river. Fisherman builded a "dam" and called is Amstel're'dam.
The reason the houses in Amsterdam are tilted is because of the soil. The city is built on marshlands, which means that everything heavy sinks right into the soil. Therefore, we started to build upon wooden poles to reach a deeper and more sturdy layer of soil that could support the heavy houses.
Today this area is known as the “Stopera”, a combination of STadhuis (Cityhall in Dutch) and Opera. Together they form the Stopera!
After the Thorbecke bridge you will see the famous 7 Bridges! If you are lucky, and there are no other boats, you can see 7 identical stone bridges in a row.
Admire the stunning mansions along the Golden Bend of the Herengracht, a place renowned for its historical grandeur and lavish architecture.

Frank is one of the best skipper whom we found as our captain for the canal tour. It is great talking to him during the tour about Amsterdam.
Frank was a great guide and very helpful & informative! Great time was had!
If you're visiting Amsterdam, a canal cruise is a must, and Flagship Amsterdam made the experience even better. I was running late for my scheduled cruise, but the staff were incredibly kind and flexible, helping me switch to a later departure without any hassle. That really took the stress out of my day. The boat was beautifully decorated with tulips, creating the perfect spring atmosphere while cruising through Amsterdam's picturesque canals. Although the tulips were artificial, they looked so realistic that my family couldn't even tell from the photos I sent them! The cruise itself was relaxing, comfortable, and a wonderful way to see the city from a different perspective. Great service, beautiful scenery, and a memorable experience. I would definitely recommend Flagship Amsterdam to anyone visiting the city.
Eduardo and Martin, the best. It was very pleasant and fun to learn a bit about Amsterdam through what both of them taught us. They speak English and Spanish fluently. I love them.
Maria and Mario are awesome guides!
