All-inclusive Hiroshima Nighttime Food and Cultural Immersion

Description
We love Hiroshima, and we want to share that love by taking you deeper into real life here! On our nighttime frolic through central Hiroshima, we have two imperatives: Show you the way locals enjoy a night on the town, and feed you well! We'll also ply you with a few drinks, if you're interested. Everything is included on our tour (gratuities too!), so no need to worry about spending a single, shiny yen while in our company. Fresh seafood, tempura, slow cooked foods, grilled items, and so much more await you. And if you've got eating restrictions, that's cool too -- just let us know. Best of all, after our tour, you won't just have a happy tummy, but also a keen understanding about the modern day culture of our lovely city. A note about our itinerary While we always try our best to adhere to the plan as set out above, please understand that tour routes, restaurant stops (as applicable), and timings may vary based on circumstances beyond our control.

We learn about this shopping district and also use it to access not one, not two, but a total of THREE different "standing bar" restaurants over the course of the evening! Your food and drink is included at each stop too, as is friendly conversations locals will strike up with you. We also explore other interesting local spots not related to food, but very much indicative of how locals like to spend their evenings.

We really like Ken because he was very engaged and his English is perfect. Roberto was fun too because he didn’t drink as much as we thought he would.
The experience with our guide Alex was very good. He accommodated everybody in the group very well with special diets and drinking preferences. He gave us lots of wonderful information about the area and the food and context to the city of Hiroshima. I would highly recommend having a tour with him to anyone, he was great!
I enjoyed the tour. We sampled different types of food. Our guide gave us information abou the dishes. It was a small tour, so perfect to ask questions and hear the guide.
An absolutely wonderful experience. Ken was personable and had great energy. Also, come, it is a lot food. For the price you pay, it is, in my opinion, steal
I've been on a number of food tours, but this was by far the best food tour I've ever been on. The variety of food was amazing, there was a fish course, a chicken course, a beef course, a pork course, and even a vegetarian course. And all of the food was delicious, even things I didn't think I'd like, were amazing. This tour is exactly why I go on food tours, Kensuke showed me new foods I had never tried, and helped open my mind to new and amazing foods I had never heard of before. You need to make sure that you get Kensuke as your guide! Not only did Kensuke tailor the food to what we were looking for, and take us to great sports with amazing food, but he is an intelligent person that is great to talk to. Kensuke is a genuinely nice person that seems engaged and listens to what you're interested in, to make the tour the best possible, and he succeeded.
My family had so much fun exploring the food scene in Hiroshima with Ken! The spots he took us to were so authentic and allowed us to trying new things we hadn’t tried previously. The perfect conclusion to our time in Japan. Sign up today - you won’t regret it!!
It's great to know that your family food tour in Hiroshima with Ken provided the perfect conclusion to your journey through Japan. Introducing our guests to authentic local flavors and giving them the confidence to try new culinary experiences is exactly what we aim for, and we are glad it became such a fun memory for everyone.☺️
Ken was a great host! Chose great places to eat and the food was great and a nice variety! He was very easy to converse with and gave us great information about Japan culture. We felt very comfortable and the other guests were very nice and easy to be with! We were so happy we booked this as our last excursion before leaving Japan.
We are delighted to hear that your evening turned out to be a highlight of your last days in the country. Creating a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where guests can connect over great dishes and insightful stories is a huge part of what we do, and knowing that Ken's hospitality made you feel so right at home means a lot to us.✨
This was our 4th food tour in Japan, and while we enjoyed all of them, this one stood out. Our guide, Kensuke, was very personable, and we could immediately tell he was passionate about being a guide and enjoyed sharing his knowledge about Hiroshima and not limited to just food. We were fortunate to experience what it was like to eat as a local. On our first stop, my husband said he could not pick just one dish he liked because he liked them all. The places we visited were local hangouts - right up my husband's alley. Kensuke was handed the task of accommodating my food restriction of no pork and some beef, but he accomplished this with ease by selecting chicken dishes just for me which were delicious! He also split his time evenly speaking to us and with the other customer, and he was genuinely interested in everything we had to share. Our second stop was quite memorable with a wonderful chicken dish, beef and pork on a stick and even boiled quail eggs which was a first for me. The final stop was to try okonomiyaki - two different types of the famous "pancake" with cabbage and a savory sauce. Our three hours went by too quickly!
It is a pleasure to know that eating like a local in Hiroshima left such a lasting impression on you both, from the very first stop to the final savory okonomiyaki. Having a guide like Kensuke who is deeply passionate about bridging cultures and balancing time attentively with all our guests is exactly the kind of hospitality we love to provide. Hearing that your husband loved every single dish and that you got to try new things like the boiled quail eggs is fantastic feedback, and we would love to welcome you back for another experience anytime.🙌
We had such a great tour with our guide, Ken! I was traveling solo and wanted a better way to explore Hiroshima for my first visit, and this experience was perfect. Ken was patient, informative, kind, and fun as he guided us around the city to try four unique Japanese dishes. Everything was within walking distance, making it easy for everyone to keep up. The food was fantastic, the portions were generous, and we all left full and happy by the end of the tour. It was a great group as we all connected and were bouncing conversations off of each other and that made it more memorable. I hope to meet with Ken again and possibly try other kinds of tour he might host, like ramen & beer crawl, that would be awesome
We are glad to know that the four unique dishes and the overall flow of the tour lived up to your expectations, making your first trip to Hiroshima so memorable. Having a patient and fun guide like Ken to bring people together over great food is something we always hope for, and hearing that the conversations flowed so naturally among everyone is the best reward. Your suggestion for new tour themes is incredibly encouraging, and we hope to see you again on another journey down the road.😊
I fantastic experience! Had a wonderful guide and visited three cafe/bars to enjoy delicious food and beverages. Our group was small with a total of four and it was fun meeting two people from Australia. I highly recommend!
It’s wonderful to hear that the evening turned into such an enjoyable experience. We’re glad the small group atmosphere, delicious food and drinks, and conversations with fellow travelers helped make the tour memorable. Thank you very much for your recommendation.🙌
