5 Hours Tahiti Island Tour - West and East Coast - small group

For first time visitors this tour provided great information. Guide was most knowledgable, fun, and caring. Ride was comfortable. Sights were incredible.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience on the East and West Tour of Tahiti with Antoinette! This tour delivered what it promised - I wanted one tour that showed both the east & west side of the island and didn’t take up 8 hours. I enjoyed the stops: the 2 waterfalls, the grotto & botanical garden including seeing the eel. But, there was a lot of time in the van, which wasn’t very comfortable, and the stops at the sites were brief. I also was extremely disappointed & bored when, at the ruins site, the tour guide just read to us & pointed to pictures in a book. I thought “You’ve got to be kidding, are we going to have 5 hours of this?” The rest of the stops were better though. Also I felt like she derided me for asking a question not once but two different times! She responded “I already talked about that” but clearly there was confusion or perhaps a language barrier, otherwise I wouldn’t have asked the questions. For someone in a multilingual tourism role to act like that was surprising. I was not surprised though, later in the tour when she asked if anyone had any questions, everyone remained silent (I actually I did have questions but there’s no way I’d ask them after the way she had previously responded! I figured I’d just Google them later). If what you’re looking for is a high level overview and circle island tour, and you go in with realistic expectations, this tour fits the bill. I just hope you get a different tour guide!

This was a great trip to learn about Tahiti - past and present. Our tour guide was Antionette and she was very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend this tour. I liked that we were a small group.

We had a wonderful tour of the island with Antoinette back in July. She is exceptional in every way - her knowledge, joy, and pride in her country is evident in every stop. Her joie de vivre, energy and friendliness made for one of the best tours we have ever experienced. We especially enjoyed our stop at the botanical gardens where her respect for the Tahiti's flora and fauna was on great display. She was very patient with my rusty French and encouraged me to practice more. She switched between English and French with great ease. We highly recommend Eden Tours and if you are lucky enough to get Antoinette, we know you will enjoy every minute!

Antoinette, our guide, was passionate about her island, and her expert explanations were very interesting, especially regarding the virtues of the plants/fruits encountered during our tour. She even stopped for us 3 times to let us taste local products that she kindly offered us.
