5-Day Private Northern Tanzania Safari from Arusha

We had the most wonderful and unique honeymoon trip with Gosheni and their great guide - Joseph. The trip was well organized, we seen all of the most interesting things- crater safari at Ngorongoro, Serengeti, and the migration crossing the river. That wouldn’t of course be so good without our guide. He was always prepared before time, and I mean it because we were starting our trip at 5:40 to see most of it. Joseph has 20+ years of experience and we seen it, he tracked and anticipated where animals would appear and we saw all of it. Everything was great. But if you want to make sure that your trip is perfect, ask for Joseph ;)

Me and my (Dutch) family had a very good experience with Gosheni. We booked our 4 day safari through Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater directly by Gosheni. Marline organized and advised our trip and she was very patient with answering all our questions. All the accomodations where above expectations. At the airstrip of Kogatende our guide Simon was waiting for us. We were so happy with Simon! He showed us all 4 days the national park, had an excellent eye for spotting the animals, he is an fantastic driver and we felt very safe with him. He has a lot of knowledge about the Serengeti and animals. Thanks to Gosheni we had a lovely safaritrip.

We had an absolutely incredible experience with Gosheni Safaris — truly a trip of a lifetime! A huge thank you to Norah for the excellent organization and for suggesting an itinerary that we absolutely loved. Everything was very well planned, and the choice and quality of the lodges were fantastic. We had the chance to enjoy some breathtaking sunrises and sunsets from the lodges, which made the experience even more special. Our safari was made unforgettable thanks to our guide, Hassani. From the very first day, we were incredibly lucky to witness three wildebeest migrations with zebras, and it only got better from there. We experienced so many incredible moments, including a lion hunt, and we were fortunate enough to see all of the Big Five! Hassani was an excellent driver, extremely knowledgeable, and always attentive to what we wanted to see. We really appreciated his flexibility and his ability to adapt the game drives according to the wildlife and our wishes. His experience clearly made a huge difference in the quality of our safari. From the incredible landscapes and wildlife to the beautiful lodges and the exceptional service, everything exceeded our expectations. Thank you to Norah, Hassani and the whole Gosheni team for making this such a memorable adventure. We couldn't have asked for a better safari and would highly recommend Gosheni Safaris to anyone looking for an unforgettable Tanzanian experience!

Our 5-day safari was an incredible experience from beginning to end! The organisation was excellent, starting with Norah, who was very helpful and professional throughout the planning of the trip. Our guide, Hassan, truly made the safari special. Thanks to his impressive knowledge of the area, wildlife, and plants, we were able to experience some unforgettable moments, including witnessing the wildebeest migration and seeing an incredible variety of animals such as cheetahs, leopards, lions, hippos, rhinos, and many others. Hassan was extremely patient and always took the time to find those special wildlife moments. His knowledge and passion were clear, and he also drove very safely, which made us feel comfortable throughout the entire trip. The lodges were great as well, with beautiful locations, comfortable rooms, and excellent service.

​We had an incredible safari experience, and a huge part of what made it so unforgettable was our guide, Calvin Kileo! ​Here are a few highlights from our trip: - ​ Calvin has an exceptional eye for wildlife. He was able to spot all the animals throughout our stay with complete ease—it felt like magic! ​- He was amazingly adaptable, tailoring our daily schedule on the fly based on how we wanted our day to unfold. ​- His driving was smooth and professional, and he estimated checkpoint arrival times with exceptional accuracy. ​- For lunch, our accommodation provided picnic meals, and Calvin arranged everything cleanly. ​- Above all, Calvin’s friendly nature made us feel comfortable and well taken care of from start to finish.

This was a wonderful trip from start to finish. From initial contact to the end of the trip. I cannot say enough about how wonderful our guide Ombeni was. We saw 35 animals witnessed the great migration. He shared his knowledge of the history of Tanzania and the animals we saw. I would recommend both Gosheni and Ombeni for your safari

From initial contact to the flight home, every step of the safari experience with Gosheni was handled with attentiveness and care. Norah quickly responded to all of our questions over the months of planning leaving is feeling assured for our group of five. The lodging was always comfortable and the meals delicious. If we needed help picking up extra clothes in Arusha, or killing time between our final safari flight and the evening flight heading home, she helped us figure everything out. Even better than the organization was the safari itself. Our guide, Ombeni, was a master of the Serengeti. We could not have been in better hands. His experience and connections with all of the other guides is only matched by his kindness. Not only did we see all of the big 5 animals in the first three days, we also saw the great migration of wildebeests perfectly timed. He knows exactly where to go and when and every other guide we passed knows him and reveres him with such admiration and respect. Request him by name and have a safari of a lifetime!

This was a life changing tour. Ombeni is an incredible tour guide. Apart from being friendly, easy-going, and flexible, he was incredibly knowledgeable and knew where to find ALL the animals. We saw more wildlife in the Serengeti than any other tour happening around us. I can’t recommend Ombeni and Gosheni enough.

10 out of 10 experience. Saw everything we wanted to see and more, including a great migration river crossing, lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Ombeni was the best guide, always getting us in the right place at the right time. I would recommend him and Gosheni to anyone who’s interested in experiencing all that the Serengeti and Tanzania has to offer.

Unbelievable safari for our family. From start to finish it was an incredible experience. It was all of our first time in Africa and completely unforgettable. We were able to see the big 5, the great migration, and multiple close encounters with chetahs, giraffes and elephants. The jeep was air conditioned, had charging stations, and WiFi. All of our accommodations were beautiful, clean and the food was delicious. Lunches were packed daily and served hot. I can not recommend our tour guide, Ombeni, enough. He knew all of the right spots to bring us, treated our family with such care throughout our safari.
