A very special experience out in the bush at night looking for animals. We seen Elephant, buffalo, Antilope and heard hyenas howling. Mthabisi is an amazing guide explaining the sky. It's truly beautiful and highly recommended.
We took this trip as part of a full-day, four event excursion with Savannah Adventures, and had an absolutely amazing day with our guide, Mthabisi! We started with a sunrise game drive in Zambezi National Park, and concluded our day stargazing in the pitch-black night, where he regaled us with a perfect blend of astronomy, astrology, and African folklore. We loved every minute of our day! So interesting and fun.
A magical experience! The landscape changes at night from the golden sunset to the dark sky littered with planets and stars. The guide, Mthabisi (don’t ask me to pronounce it), was very knowledgeable and passionate about the subject matter, made even more engaging with his laser pointer for the stars and an additional bright light he used to look for animals in the dark.

The Stargazing and moonlight experience was a unique experience… Being in the bush at night while the canvas roof open the sky with the stars just above us was magical.. The guide was very knowledgeable and confident on every aspect .. The stargazing and moonlight safari was a truly unique and magical experience. Being out in the African bush at night, guided by a knowledgeable guide gave us a whole new appreciation for nature.The guide zipped open the canvas roof and the breathtaking Africa starry sky was right above us. This activity did not take place and I am trying to get my money back. We booked the activity on the understanding that it would take place in Zambia but was informed shortly before the scheduled time that the operator was in Zimbabwe. So we were not able to do it as it is impossible to view star in the day time when the border was open. I was expecting the paid funds to be returned but it seems Tipadvisor took the activity as having been completed even if the operator informed us that we will be refunded.

This was done as a courtesy and in the interest of good customer service, to avoid any inconvenience on the day of your booking. We also processed your refund immediately on our side. Unfortunately, the delay you experienced was caused by the payment platform (Tripadvisor/Viator), which can take up to two weeks to finalize and return funds. This part is outside of our control. We fully understand how frustrating delays can be when waiting for a refund. However, in this case, the issue was not related to our service delivery, as we acted promptly and transparently from the moment the situation was identified. I hate doing 1 but let me explain we booked a while ago through viator they are great we arranged pick up 1830 sat from 1805 until 1900 no show no communication i got in touch with viator who apologised and said would refund next day i did get an apologybfrom the company and offered free tour unfortunately it had been our last night in victoria falls. On the plus i think the response afterwards was good. Just sorry we did not get to experience it and we understand mistakes happen but comms is important i cannot co.ment on tour itself but tbe company certainly did ok with refund and apology

The Moonlight tour lasted for about 2 hours, we drove around the Victoria Falls town and spotted Elephants, Hyenas & Buffalos. The best part was the half moon clear sky and the stars were bright and beautiful.
