4D3N Bromo Ijen Tumpak Sewu Waterfall Tour from Surabaya/Malang

Arya is a very attentive, knowledgeable, and professional guide, always paying great attention to detail. He really cares about making you feel comfortable and at ease, and he is also always kind and respectful. A special mention also goes to Kholik, our local guide at Mount Ijen, who was truly knowledgeable, friendly, and caring. He made our experience at Ijen even more enjoyable and memorable. Because of the wildfire and government restrictions, many of Bromo’s main viewpoints were inaccessible. But Bella never gave up. She continuously contacted her local friends, checked conditions in real time, and even arranged motorbike drivers three different times to find us the best possible alternative. Thanks to her incredible persistence and local knowledge, she eventually led us to a hidden viewpoint where Mount Bromo appeared breathtakingly close — an experience even more special than we had imagined. With her wonderful photography skills and genuine passion, Bella also captured beautiful photos and memories that our family will treasure for a lifetime. Anyone can be a guide when everything goes according to plan. Bella showed us what a truly exceptional guide does when things don't. We came to Bromo hoping to see an extraordinary volcano. We left having met an extraordinary person. If you visit Bromo, ask for Bella. Highly recommended!

A great experience with the family, a tour I would definitely recommend. Our guide was Hirman and our driver was Mblong, and they made the whole trip very comfortable, enjoyable and safe. They were extremely attentive to our needs at all times and took some really fun photos and videos of us. I would definitely do it again! If I had to mention one thing that could be improved, it would be that they give very little notice when there are changes or unexpected situations, although they always manage to sort everything out along the way.

We’ve taken the 3 days trip with Cheapbromo to Bromo and Tumpak sewu, starting with our first day meeting the guide Baroni who’s cheerful and friendly and our driver kosmas thats very skillful in driving. First day we stay in Bromo Permai, a quite old but good hotel that located very close to the Mt Bromo, you can see it from outside the hotel, then we woke up early morning to catch up for the sunrise with a jeep to Kingkong Hill and since we’re coming very early, we get to see a beautiful sky full of stars and baroni managed to catch some photos of it (he’s quite skillful with his photography) Our next destination is Tumpak sewu waterfall, which seemed a little hard for my mom but Baroni and the local guide are very helpful by taking care of her through the entire walk to the waterfall, Thank you very much Baroni and Cheapbromo!

The trip was absolutely fantastic. We were met at the airport by our excellent guide Arya, who helped us with our bags. The car was comfortable and well air conditioned. We made a stop at the rainbow village on the way up to our hotel for the first night which was very nice. On the first morning, we went out to the tumpak sewu waterfall which was an amazing site, it was definitely worth doing the extra day to see this in our opinion. Arya took us out very early around 6 which was definitely the right move as even then it was fairly busy and as we were coming back up it only got worse. We stayed in a nice hotel from midday to the evening after and headed out to Ijen around 11:00 that night arriving there in the early hours of next morning. Ijen was very good stop, I enjoyed the hike the sunrise and pictures in the daytime. However in my opinion seeing the blue fire itself was not worth it and getting in and out of the pit where it is was extremely difficult due to the rocky path and sheer number of tourists. We were early so we got down fairly easily in 10 minutes or so but it then took up over an hour to climb back out. At the blue fire itself it was Insanely crowded there was little room to even stand let alone take pictures or do anything else. Also since at the time we went it was too toxic to go down to the genuine blue flames so instead it was a man made version with some guy just burning a few bits of sulphur. It you want to see this I would advise you to go as early as you can after the park opens. We then travelled towards mount bromo. Unfortunately there was a fire on the day we visited. Thankfully Arya took us to a different viewpoint of the mountain and knew the track very well and led us to a quiet ish area where we had great view of the sunrise and the mountains. This trip was for our honeymoon and Arya 100% made the extra effort to make it special, each hotel knew in advance and gave us a little gift. Every hotel we stayed at was very nice well. Overall this trip was a great experience and great value for money, I would definitely recommend this company and Arya specifically to anyone.

Our driver Hasan and our Guide Hirman were absolutely fantastic! Hirman ist one of the nicest people I know, he took care of so much and gave us so many reasons to rate the trip with 10 stars, but there are just 5 - unfortunately. The trip by itself is fantastic, but Hirman is the best, spontaneously he found a place where we could have a quick fifa session, never was he stressed or mad about any of our decisions. He took care of us, made sure we were up in the middle of the night to visit some mountains. Organized sports where we could eat the best and was prepared for every eventuality. Big thanks to the big dawg!

Amazing experience, all went very smoothly and our guide Rizky was great. We would really recommend booking via Cheap Bromo and Rizky as a guide. We didn't have to take care of anything and just enjoyed the beautiful spots Java offers.

First of all, the views of the volcano are certainly impeccable and the time planned by the guide allowed us to get into a good spot early on. It is recommended to add more explanations, such as the history of Rainbow Village, the formation of waterfalls and volcanoes, etc.

He was always kind, helpful, professional, and attentive to all our needs. He made the whole trip even more enjoyable and made us feel comfortable at all times. Everything was perfectly organized. All the transfers were smooth and on time, and we never had to worry about anything. The hotels that were booked for us were also beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The places we visited were simply breathtaking, and this tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Indonesia. We highly recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Tumpak Sewu, Bromo, and Ijen with a well-organized and stress-free experience.
