Ester our tour guide was brilliant. Full of energy, enthusiasm, a deep knowledge of cultural history and just an all round fun person to be with. I couldn't think of a better person to take us on this tour. The food was delicious, the drinks also. We were beyond full and cannot recommend this tour enough whilst in Faro!
Excellent choice of tapas and great conversation around the table of history and early traditions Must try the fire water and pork neck, absolute banger!!
The food was great and we had so much fun! Sofia was a wonderful guide who shared interesting local history and information. Thank you, obrigada Sofia!
Exceptional food tour with the lovely Esther! We enjoyed three restaurants; three sample plates at each along with a drink at each, plus water. The portion sizes were generous & the offerings varied. We left very full! Esther was attentive, clearly passionate about Faro, and answered all of our questions. She took great care of us and made many recommendations of places to eat, drink & visit throughout our stay. A dealbreaker for me is the tour guide being a local and passionate about their city. Esther was certainly that! Knowledgeable & engaging. Would recommend this tour to anyone who is interested. Personal highlights - pulled pork neck! We were very lucky to be the only two on this tour, so it was essentially private. I was impressed that the tour wasn’t cancelled due to this, as many other tour operators would have done so. Thank you from both of us! ❤️
Well worth it! Went to local restaurants, enjoyed local food with wine (the kids had soda), and had some historical background on the places we see along the way. Would highly recommend! Wear good shoes for the cobblestone streets.
The tour and food were good but we were the only ones. We've done these in other cities and part of the enjoyment is meeting others. Esther left us when we ate which was disappointing as some local chat would have made a difference too. Do viator set a minimum attendance?
A wonderful selection of Delicious food and wine. There was lots of food and 3 large glasses of wine. Our hostess was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Amazing food tour! Our guide Sophie made all the difference- she was patient and explained things in great detail and was so open to answering any questions. Such a lovely person! The food was great, despite not eating meat(just seafood) I was still pleased with how the tour accommodated me and ensured I had options when meat was served. We met such nice couples/families on the tour and were thankful to have spent time with such a good group. Would highly recommend this one for a fun few hours out!
Really nice combo of old town history walk and an intro to traditional Portuguese food at three different places. Don't eat lunch - you'll be absolutely stuffed at the end of this. The guide was friendly and fun and very knowledgeable.
We very much enjoyed our Faro food experience. Esther was local, knowledgeable and gave us a wonderful overview of the history of the area as well as the excellent food. A great experience!
