3 Hour Smart Eco Segway Adventure in Nassau

Having ridden Segways over two dozen times all over the world, we found this particular experience to have both minuses and pluses. On the plus side, communication with the tour operator Scott was excellent and our guide KJ was very personable, helpful and, as a native of Nassau, he shared some history and commentary about the areas we travelled. The tour also included a stop at a local restaurant for a taste of some Bahamian flavors. The people at this stop were very nice and welcoming and the air conditioning was a plus on a hot day. KJ also did a very nice job capturing pictures for us at various stops. KJ is soft spoken. The areas we travelled in were pretty noisy. There were only four of us on the tour, and at times it was still hard to hear him, so he may want to try to project a bit more if possible. The minuses were more related to the Segways themselves as well as the terrain travelled on. Of all the tours we have done, this particular equipment was difficult to operate and was not in the best condition. Adding to that, grassy and gravel surfaces, as well as busy roads, made for rather slow going, and sometimes awkward turns. Because of this you could not look around too much as you were navigating some rocks, ruts, broken pavement, etc. If you are Segway enthusiasts like we are, you would likely find the pace a bit off putting as there really was no opportunity to enjoy the fun of riding a Segway. Still KJ did a good job navigating the conditions he had to work with and we were able to see a fort area, some of the beach area, and enjoy the light snack at Da Fish Fry area. While this experience would not rate among our top ten, we don’t regret the experience.

Very fun experience, the tour guide KJ was amazing and made funny jokes. Everyone was very kind and we got to take plenty of pictures and videos!

Such a great experience! Me and my girlfriend had such a great time, the operators are 10 out of 10. They’re very nice and helpful and really funny. They offer take pictures of you and make sure everyone is safe. Would definitely recommend and is very family friendly. We had a group of 4 who were spoiled during this tour. Our guide took his time teaching us how to use the Segways and when one of our older family members wasn't comfortable on the Segway an electric trike was offered which worked out much better. He was very informative and the lunch was very yummy!

The guides were amazing! This was such a fun adventure through Fort Charlotte, and along the coast of the Bahamas. We enjoyed a delicious meal at Da Fish Fry Restaurant. My favorite was the limeade. We unfortunately had a little mishap, totally our fault. One of our family members hit a rock and tumbled over the Segway and was rather scraped up. One of the guides took his own personal car and drove our injured person back to the ship immediately. They handled it so well and were very kind to us. We are very grateful we booked with this tour with them. Loved it and would do it again, even our one with injuries loved the segways.

This tour was awesome! Our tour guide was really funny and made the whole thing a blast! They gave us ear headphones which allowed us to hear the guide the entire time we were on the Segway’s even if we were in the back. I loved that we didn’t have to stop and start all the time to get info! It was so cool to get special permission to take our Segways through the Fort!

We had a great time on the Segway tour! The guides made sure we were comfortable operating the segways and did a great job alerting traffic when we crossed roads to keep us safe. There is quite a bit of off-roading which I find fun. The guides were awesome giving us a tour of the fort, taking photos for us, and making sure we enjoyed the food.

It was a wonderful day. After a quick training we were off with KJ. My 13yo grandson and I had the best time. We would definitely do this again.

We had such a great time this past week. We met up with Scott at the port and he brought us to their location, he was very friendly and easy to talk to. KJ gave us the tour. He is so knowledgeable of the area and history. We joked a lot with him, he was great! Thank you so much Scott and KJ!!
