The Hop On and Off ride was located in a nice location and easy to find. The ride was good and covered a lot of Victoria. The narration was a little confusing between the tape version and transition with the guide. But a nice way to see Victoria.
Bus ride around Victoria -good preview of what to see while there. Beautiful city and easily walkable, although Buchart Gardens was a challenge.
The tour guides are very knowledgeable about Victoria. We truly enjoyed the sites and history. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Up to an hour wait to get on the "hop on hop off." Multiple times the driver passed us because his bus was full and we waited another THIRTY minutes for another. We ended up only stopping at two of the sites. It was so stressful to wait an hour each time we needed to "hop back on." If you were *actually* riding for 24 hours straight, it might be worth the $150 we spent for two adults and a kid. Better off getting a bike or walking to your desired destinations.

While we do our best to maintain our scheduled service, some of our buses were at full capacity and unfortunately were unable to pick up additional guests at certain stops. I frequently take hop on/hop off tours and enjoy them. This tour in Victoria was completely disorganized and the staff were rude and unhelpful. We arrived at the meeting point before anyone else and were 20 minutes early. By the time the bus arrived there was no semblance of a line. We spoke to one of the staff and said we were there early on purpose to get on the first bus and a seats together. They said everyone is getting on the bus. Bus came, we got on and then were advised we had to get off because the bus was full. Apparently there was another bus ready to go however it took 15 minutes to come. The bus driver was informative but we were all ordered off the bus at the Empress Hotel even though we had not seen all the stops. We were told we could walk around that area and wait for a bus in 30 or 60 minutes. We spent more time waiting for the bus than on the bus and it was a horrible experience. For the cost for the 5 of us we should have taken Ubers all day.

We provide guests with a map and schedule before boarding to help plan their day and explore the many stops along the route. With a Hop-On Hop-Off service, it can be challenging to predict exactly when guests will hop off and how long they’ll spend at each stop, but we do our very best to stay on schedule and maintain our advertised pickup times. We’re glad to hear you found the driver informative. Victoria has so much to see and experience, and our Hop-On Hop-Off service is designed to give guests the flexibility to hop off, explore, and rejoin the tour when they’re ready. The description of this excursion was totally misleading. The bus only stopped at 4 places, not 15. And all of us who signed up for it (12) were under the impression that you can hop on/hop off whenever u wanted, not every 30 minutes. And no one thought it was important to mention that most of the restaurants and shops closed at 8 or earlier. Or that we had to fork out an additional $30 to get a ride from our ship to the meeting place. Seriously??? For the amount you overcharged for this, the least you can do is pick us up from the ship! Or, let us get on the bus at Ogden. Plus, we couldn’t understand a word the driver said b/c the sound system was AWFUL! We used Viator for our other excursions and they were fantastic. Ogden Point Cruise ship terminal is one of our designated stops, and guests are welcome to board the bus directly from there. Our regular Hop-On Hop-Off tour includes 15 stops, with the final departure at 5:30 PM and a return to the starting point at approximately 7:00 PM. According to our records, you checked in at approximately 6:50 PM, after the final departure of our regular Hop-On Hop-Off service. After 5:30 PM, we operate a separate Evening Tour with a shorter route featuring 4 stops. We sincerely apologize that this distinction was not clearly explained to you at check-in. Our staff should have made sure you understood that you were joining the Evening Tour rather than the regular 15 stop Hop-On Hop-Off service. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We will be reviewing this with our team.
While you can get on at any stop, you still have to go to the Empress hotel to redeem your reservation.

Be aware!! If you want to see Baurchard garden it’s another bus trip not a hop on hop off!! Confusing with the advertising.
To clarify, we offer two completely separate tours: the Hop-On Hop-Off City Sightseeing Tour and the Butchart* Gardens Experience Tour. The Butchart Gardens is located approximately 40 minutes outside downtown Victoria and is not part of the Hop-On Hop-Off City Sightseeing Tour. The city sightseeing tour operates within downtown Victoria, while the Butchart Gardens Experience is a separate tour specifically designed to visit the gardens. We make this distinction clear in our tour information so that guests understand they are booking two separate experiences.
