2 Days Private Tour to Ksar Ghilane: Night in Tent

Everything went perfectly! From the pickup at our home to the site (supervised and secure quad bike tour), arriving at the oasis, a magnificent and authentic place! The meal and the culinary and cultural demonstrations were top-notch 👌 the staff was extremely warm and attentive to the customers' needs.. thank you infinitely to Belgessem ☺️ our guide for his kindness and professionalism. We had an unforgettable time with the sunset, we highly recommend this experience 🇹🇳🇹🇳👌

Great day in the desert, I recommend

We reached Ksar Ghilane and the hot springs in the afternoon. There were many people at the springs, so the adults didn’t swim, and only one of the kids used the pool. The quad biking was very fun, and we got to watch the sunset, which was a highlight of the trip. I had hoped to see the Milky Way and many stars in the desert without light pollution, but unfortunately it was cloudy and there was a full moon, so the stars were not very visible. The desert camp was very nice, with live music and a traditional bread-baking ceremony over the fire, which was a lovely experience. The night in the Sahara was very cold, so I strongly recommend bringing a sleeping bag and extra warm clothes if you are visiting in winter. Dinner was good, but it was again chicken and couscous. The next morning we were late for breakfast, so there wasn’t much left. We headed back after a camel ride and visited the area near Tataouine where Star Wars was filmed, which made the kids very happy. Lunch was, once again, chicken and couscous. The food quality was good, but quite repetitive. We also visited an ancient village hidden in the mountains, which was very interesting. Overall, it was a memorable and unique experience. Sahara desert nature is very beautiful and unique.

Amazing experience!!! We feasted during these 2 days in the desert, the drivers are of a kindness and exceptional kindness! They know their area perfectly and made us discover the desert! Quad or camel ride, I recommend this excursion!

Overall very satisfied with the tour. Great care was taken in the selection of the sites visited which were often off the beaten path with some truely magical sites. Accommodation and food was basic but fine. The camel ride was great. More historical/cultural/ environmental commentary would have enhanced the tour.

Atef, met on the beach of Meridiana organized us superb excursions. With Chouchou, adorable driver and at our care, we discovered Tataouine, Ksar Ghilane and a beautiful sunset in the desert. We also toured the island with the Sami taxi and a camel ride on the beach with Ahmed. Unforgettable memories, to recommend without hesitation!

+ We visited some surprising spots, like an artisan hot spring in the middle of nowhere. + The food was plenty and average + The guide made sure we were doing fine. – The tour was booked in German and even confirmed as such the day before, but the guide didn’t speak German at all and most explanations were only in French. We don't speak French and the guide spoke little English, so explanations were limited to French and other guests had to translate. – There was little cultural or background information and our questions stayed unanswered – Some places from the description were missing – At times it felt more like a selling trip and tipping seemed strongly requested

Most of the sites were thoughtfully chosen. Off the beaten track and very authentic and magical. The camel ride was awesome. Accommodation is basic but fine. The guide was local and nice but the commentary could have been expanded. Overall great choice. Thoroughly appreciated the experience. I would recommend.
