We had a WONDERFUL time with our amazing guide Yasushi who brought so much joy to our day. He made us laugh and taught us so much about Japanese culture and traditions, as well as how times have changed. He introduced us to beautiful Shirakawa-go on the way there, then gave a lovely tour of one of the large old homes in the village. His passion and pride in his country was contagious and his English clear and entertaining. Thank you so much for the fantastic day Yasushi!! I would highly recommend him for a walking tour of Kanazawa that he does after the morning Shirakawa-go tour as well. We had other plans but I know he would bring so much knowledge and learning to a tour of Kanazawa as well.

He was incredibly friendly and kept us entertained the whole time with fascinating anecdotes about Japan, Kanazawa, and Shirakawa-go itself. ​He didn't just walk us through the village; he accompanied us inside one of the traditional gassho-zukuri houses, giving us a deep and meaningful insight into what daily life looks like in this unique region. On top of that, he was incredibly helpful, pointing out the absolute best spots to grab some delicious local food and where to take the most stunning photos. ​Tour Timing & Duration ​The duration of the tour is just right—you get to see everything without feeling rushed. One of the best perks was the departure time. Leaving when we did allowed us to explore the village in peace and quiet, completely beating the massive crowds that arrived later in the day. ​Highly recommended if you want a seamless, informative, and crowd-free experience of Shirakawa-go!

The tour was really fun and the guide Keita was fun and really friendly. We got there mid morning so their were very few people around which made it such a nice and peaceful atmosphere. We had 2 hours there which was a good length of time.

Keita was an excellent tour guide for our Shirakawa-go trip! He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience enjoyable from start to finish. Even during the long bus ride, he kept us entertained with interesting stories, local history, and fun facts, so the time passed quickly. One of the highlights was his special introduction to the Wada House, which gave us a much deeper appreciation of its history and significance before we explored it ourselves. He also shared great recommendations for how to spend our free time in Shirakawa-go, pointing us to the best viewpoints and places to visit, which helped us make the most of our time there. Keita’s enthusiasm, professionalism, and genuine hospitality made the tour both informative and memorable. We highly recommend him to anyone visiting Shirakawa-go!
