Oleh our driver was amazing! So helpful and kind , made it so easy to figure out what we needed to do. The entire day was fantastic, lots of walking but so worth it.
We really enjoyed our trip to the salt mine. Our driver, Peter, picked us up directly from our hotel - communication was great and we soon arrived at our destination. We had plenty of time on the tour to explore the mine with our guide and she was also friendly and knowledgeable. I can highly recommend this experience - the salt sculptures are stunning and it was a fascinating place to visit.
Awful experience and dreadful customer skills , with poor communication. Booked salt mine tour (which was great) however that was probably because GR8way had not input with the actual tour. Was not explained to us how long or indeed what time the driver was going to wait until, was not explained to us that there are in fact two separate exits from the mine which are 200 yards away from each other , was told driver contacted us and waited for 20 minutes. I’m not sure if any part of GR8way have taken part in the salt mine tour, if they had they might realise that phone signal isn’t the best 135 metres below the ground. Regardless of this we were at the meeting point 8 minutes after we were informed that the driver would call us, which he never did, and when I called the driver he never answered . GR8 ways response was just “get your own transport” which we did. We paid 700 zloty, take my advice BOOK SALT MINE TICKETS VIA SALT MINE WEBSITE. GET UBER THERE AND BACK. From the old town this will cost you approximately 350 zloty , and this is for 2 people . DO NOT USE GR8way which is the travel tour shop near ST MARYS BASILICA
We were driven by MAX SZKATULA and he was great fun and friendly. The mine was really interesting. It’s very deep. Must see!
Thank you, MAX SZKATULA, our driver to the salt mines. Max is polite, fluent in English and made sure to communicate with us on WhatsApp all the time.
Driver was nice on way there but don’t really need to waste money for what is basically a taxi I could have bought tickets my self and get a bolt taxi all he does is drop you off and tell you to queue up so was a waste of off over a hundred pounds . Not so much as a Thankyou and goodbye when dropped off
Fabulous but not enough time to do it justice need to come again salt mine experience was very interesting and educational also as an older person very tiresome
Pick up was late but guide was very polite would not recommend this to someone who can't walk far .it was OK but wouldn't go again, not much to see
They changed our pick up time from 12.40 until 15.40 which ruined it for us as we did not get back to Hotel until 19.20 ! We are70 Yrs old which is why we booked morning trip . Were advised of time change at 17.00 night before!! Not impressed
I would highly recommend this tour. However, you will walk down approximately 800 stairs to begin the tour and the total walk is approximately 3km. Just Something to be aware of before you begin. The tour itself was fascinating and our tour guide was very knowledgeable and amusing. It was amazing to learn how the mine was dug over 800 years and how that “treasure” influenced the history of the country. There were beautiful chapels carved throughout the mine, with sculptures and chandeliers carved/made from the salt. Overall, a very interesting and dare I say, educational tour.
