The Steamboat cruise and lunch were amazing. The views from the boat and farm are picturesque. The hospitality of the boat crew and farm staff was second to none. Well worth the price. Would be happy to go again.

Great experience. It was an amazing boat ride up the lake & over to the beautiful farm. Very scenic, cool to ride on the steam boat and lovely food. Just wish the overall time on the farm was a little longer. I feel like we went straight from boat to restaurant and then had to quickly finish meal to go and watch farm show (hard/rushed when trying to serve self and young kids as well as lining up for food) and then once the farm show was over, basically time to get straight back on boat. Would have loved to look around for a bit longer at the animals.

The food and dining at Walter peak was amazing! I would do it again just for that, but one thing that really let my trip down was when I booked through trip adviser it was in USD which I didn't realize and we are in New Zealand with NZD so when the money went out from my account it was double the price I was expecting to pay and trip advisor wouldn't refund me. Very disappointed with that part but everything else was great

We had an amazing experience on the Walter Peak Gourmet BBQ Lunch & Queenstown Lake Cruise. Everything was excellent from start to finish. The staff were incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming. The way they looked after us made us feel comfortable and really opened our appetites before the meal. The BBQ lunch was delicious, with a great variety of fresh, high-quality food. The scenery during the cruise was absolutely breathtaking, making the whole experience even more special. Everything was enjoyable, and choosing this experience was one of the best decisions we made. We have no regrets at all and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Queenstown. Thank you for such a wonderful and memorable day!

Outstanding in any weather! A must do if you come to Queenstown and the farm BBQ is fine dining and exceptional homestead placed in the most stunning location

Average at best No assigned seating on the boat so we were left to stand with our 2 year old in a pram and we arrived 20 minutes early The buffet food was okay however it cost $100 Better ways to spend $219NZD of you ask me The operators were quite rude and were on holidays visa so had next to no experience. Unless your rich safe yourself the disappointment

Great experience! Efficient and friendly staff, food was good. Only suggestion for travellers, don’t sit at the top deck near the steam room due to the smoke. Wait until the boat leaves the pier. 😉

Well worth the time and money spent. Great commentary on the boat over to Walter's Peak estate and amazing dinner. They treated me well as a solo traveler. They also, I guess from my birthdate, that it was my birthday and they had set up the table with a special surprise birthday message and they also came out at the dinner service singing happy birthday and cake. The trip over and back in the boat was smooth and comfortable.

We thoroughly enjoyed the lake cruise, BBQ lunch, and farm show. The meeting point was easy to find, making the start of the day stress-free. The cruise itself was lovely, and we enjoyed learning about the history of the area along the way. The BBQ lunch was fantastic, with a huge selection of food to suit everyone. Watching the meat being cooked fresh right in front of us was a highlight, and everything was absolutely delicious. The farm show was both informative and entertaining. It was great to see firsthand how much work goes into farming and how skilled the sheepdogs are. There are also plenty of cute photo opportunities around the property, as well as a gift shop if you’d like to pick up some Kiwi souvenirs. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout the entire experience. Overall, a 10/10 experience from us!
