It's not often that traveling to and from the tour, is the highlight of the trip! We went as a family, 2x adults + 2x teens. Our flight with our pilot Josh was spectacular, the views were incredible, the updates from Josh on the way there and back on what was outside of our windows was spot on. The fact that you each have your own windows seat on the plane, was an unexpected bonus, ensuring some incredible photos. Ask for Josh's plane... while not the biggest of the fleet, it cruises at a speed which allows you to take more in, and get those few extra photos or memories. I highly recommend this trip to anyone considering going to Milford Sounds from Queenstown. The sounds cruise was amazing too, but the flights seal the deal. Book your trip today!

Our pilot Michael was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area and often pointed out things to see during our flight. We felt safe and secure with Michael even with some strong winds as we approached Milford Sound.

This was truly unexpected and quite a pleasant surprise for us. We had initially planned to visit Milford Sound during our trip, but unfortunately, our schedule only allowed for a single day in Queenstown. Given the limited time and the fact that we didn't want to spend our precious day inside a van on a long drive, we faced a bit of a dilemma. We knew Milford Sound was famous for its breathtaking scenery and iconic fjord landscape, but fitting it into our tight itinerary seemed challenging. Fortunately, Lena at Discover Queenstown came to our rescue. She was incredibly helpful and thoughtful throughout the process. When we explained our situation and our wish to experience the beauty of Milford Sound without sacrificing our comfort and time, she immediately shared some fantastic ideas with us. Lena suggested a day trip that would maximize our experience while minimizing the hours spent traveling in transportation. Arriving at Milford Sound, we were awestruck by the sheer natural beauty surrounding us. The towering cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and pristine waters were even more magnificent than we had imagined. The cruise we took was incredibly smooth and relaxing, giving us ample time to soak in the scenery and take countless photos. It truly felt like a bucket-list experience come to life. Reflecting on the entire process and the trip itself, we couldn’t have been more grateful for Lena’s assistance. Her exceptional service transformed what could have been a stressful logistical challenge into a seamless and memorable adventure. Her dedication and expertise made a significant difference in our experience. We left Milford Sound with incredible memories, stunning photographs, and a deep appreciation for the natural beauty of New Zealand. The team at True South Flights was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond. Our pilot, Luke, was great as was our van driver, Sam (who picked us up at our hotel and returned us as well). To say that the sights and sounds were amazing undersells the experience.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. The flight over Milford Sound was breathtaking, and seeing the mountains, lakes, and glaciers from the air was something I’ll never forget. A huge thank you to Michael, our pilot, who made the trip even better. His commentary throughout the flight was informative and engaging, explaining the scenery we were flying over while keeping everyone entertained with his friendly personality and funny jokes. He made the whole experience that little bit better! I couldn’t recommend True South Flights more highly. If you get Michael as your pilot, you’re in for an amazing (and safe!) flight!
