We went as a couple and we wanted to see the evolution of pyramid construction. Our guide Mona was brilliant. She started with the Step Pyramid and explained how it evolved from mastabas. Then we drove to Dahshour and saw the Bent Pyramid which showed the learning process. We went inside the Red Pyramid which was the first true smooth sided pyramid. She told us the story of Sneferu who built both. We finished at Memphis and saw the giant statues. We had lunch at a nice garden restaurant. The car had WiFi and cold drinks. We felt like royalty with our own private guide. Admission fee was 135 usd each. Length of visit was 8 hours. Atmosphere was romantic and intellectually stimulating. Crowd size was minimal at Dahshour and we enjoyed the quiet. Staff were elegant and Mona dressed professionally. Best for couples who appreciate architectural history. Climbed the Red Pyramid together
We went as a couple and we chose this private tour to avoid the big buses. Our guide Karim was a licensed Egyptologist and he made the history come alive. We started at Saqqara and he showed us the mortuary temple. We spent an hour there and took many photos. Then we drove to Memphis and saw the alabaster sphinx. It was smaller than I expected but beautiful. We had lunch at a local restaurant that Karim recommended. The food was grilled chicken and rice. After lunch we went to Dahshour and climbed inside the Red Pyramid. It was steep and narrow but we made it. My wife was scared but Karim helped her. We also drove by the Bent Pyramid and took photos with the unique shape. The whole day was private and comfortable with AC in the car. Admission fee was 140 usd each for the private tour. Length of visit was 8 hours. Atmosphere was intimate and informative. Crowd size was just us and other tourists at each site but we had our own car. Staff were excellent and Karim knew all the hidden photo spots. Best for couples who want a romantic and educational day. Yasser sent us a message asking if we were happy.

Kids counted steps at Saqqara
I took my two kids on this tour and our guide Youssef was fantastic with them. He made a game out of counting the steps at Saqqara. My son counted 60 steps and my daughter counted 62. We spent time at the Step Pyramid and he told them about the pharaoh Djoser. Then we went to Memphis and saw the giant Ramses statue. My kids were amazed by its size. We had a quick lunch at a clean place with pizza for the kids. After lunch we went to Dahshour and saw the Bent Pyramid. Youssef explained why it bends. We didn't go inside because the kids were tired but we took photos. The car was air conditioned and the driver was safe. We were back at the hotel by 5 pm. Admission fee was 70 usd per adult and 40 per child. Length of visit was 8 hours but we finished early because the kids got tired. Atmosphere was family friendly and energetic.
