Amazing Private ride with Gondolier Thomas!
The Private Gondola ride for 3 people was an amazing experience! Thomas, our Gondalier was very experienced and knew the history of Venice. He pointed out all of the main buildings and sites!! We paid over $300 on Viator pre trip to ensure it would just be the 3 of us because many reviews said it’s hard to ride with just the people you’re traveling with…. Not true…, there are so many Gondolas. We took a second private ride on the spur of the moment for just $130 total. I don’t recommend booking ahead of time because the Gondoliers do negotiate prices.

Horrible tourist trap
I mean you probably have to do a gondola ride in Venice , but start to finish , 20 minutes , gondoliers laughing at tourists getting taken . Come to the states especially New York where tourists get taken advantaged of

Must do!
Too quick of a tour yet great to do. Don’t book using Viatar as it costs $200 more!!! Book when you get into town. Not worth the up charge and plenty of options! Our guide was great!!

No need to book ahead.
Bad directions to the activity. It took several phone calls before we just figured something else out.
But the actual activity was lovely.

Needs better communication.
The booking process was straight forward. But the communication with the gondola company was lacking. Got there and they had no idea about the booking even after I showed them the voucher. Everything got sorted out because i had my documentation. Not sure who was to blame on this. But there was a lot of confusion. Plenty other tours offering this experience, not to mention the ones selling it to you in Venice. It was nice having a dedicated time slot. But next time I will take my chances and go another route.

Great Gondola Ride
Easy to find and very accommodating. We arrogantly and they didn’t make us wait. The ride through side canals was very interesting.
