What a wonderful time we had sampling wines, cheese and meats curated to maximize our enjoyment of each pairing. The sommelier and host were most knowledgeable about the origins of each wine which enhanced our experience. This is highly recommended for a short adventure before you explore the quaint alleys of the restaurant district.

The person who runs this...
The person who runs this was very kind, but talked quickly and didnt speak English very well. It was hard to understand at points and keep up with what she was saying for the background information or pairings. The aesthetic was very cool and it was smaller and more intimate. She attended to us well. She also made it clear that though she recommended certain foods to go with certain wines, it was more personal and flexible as to how we wanted to do it. I would say for someone who has been to Rome before or for a while, or who wants a more chill evening, this could be a good experience. If someone is new to Rome or has limited time, this would not be one of my top recommendations.

Thank you for sharing your opinion. Of course, whether an experience should be considered a “top recommendation” is ultimately a matter of personal preference. However, we feel that some of the fundamental aspects of our tasting may not have been fully understood:
1. Slow Food products
The products served during our tastings are carefully selected Slow Food products. Slow Food promotes local traditions, biodiversity, small-scale producers and sustainable production methods. We deliberately choose authentic, high-quality products connected to their territories rather than mass-produced food created for the tourist market.
2. Organic wines from small producers
All the wines we present are organic and come from small Italian wineries and limited productions. Our purpose is not simply to serve wine, but to introduce our guests to Italian producers, territories, grape varieties and traditions that are often difficult to discover through mainstream commercial wines.
3. Italian, professionally trained staff
Our staff is Italian, professionally trained and knowledgeable about Italian wine and food culture. It is true that occasionally a member of our team may not speak perfect English, and we certainly take comments about clarity and speaking pace seriously. However, we also believe this is part of the genuine and authentic character of the experience. Our tastings are hosted by Italian professionals sharing their own culture, wines and food traditions — not by actors delivering a memorized tourist script.
4. 75–90 minutes dedicated to the experience
The tasting lasts approximately 75–90 minutes, which is more than sufficient time to enjoy the wines and food pairings, understand the products and producers, and experience everything at a relaxed pace. It can therefore fit perfectly even into a first visit to Rome.
Finally, we respectfully disagree that Fabullus is mainly suitable for people who have already visited Rome. Our experience is for anyone who wants to discover authentic Italian food and wine, whether it is their first time in Rome or their tenth.
Our philosophy is precisely the opposite of a tourist trap: small producers, organic wines, Slow Food products, Italian professionals and an intimate Roman cellar where every wine and product has a story, a territory and an identity.

The tasting was very...
The tasting was very well crafted for both the wines and the dishes. Guessing the different notes of the wines was really interesting.
Furthermore, as someone who is a big eater, I left feeling full, which is also a good thing.

Great Wine Tasting!
This was a wonderful tasting experience! We were hung up with traffic and ended up being a little bit later than the suggested arrival time, and the hosts could not have been more kind about it. We were shown to a table in a beautiful wine cellar room, with a spread already set out for us. They guided us through a classic tasting experience, explaining the wines and where they were from and what they best pair with. We got the option that did not also include a dinner so we had cheeses and meats along with fruit spreads and olives, but there was plenty there to fill someone up! We didn’t feel rushed at all, and the hosts were very kind and accommodating. This was a very nice, classic Roman wine tasting experience I would recommend to everyone!

If you love wine, you'll love this!
A must do for wine lovers! Located in a beautiful wine cellar, this experience is very special and you feel like you've VIP treatment all throughout due to the cellar only having 5 tables. Ginevra & her team are very knowledgeable and a pleasure to host. It was a birthday surprise for my other half & we thoroughly enjoyed it. What a special time!

The experience was amazing. The wines were all great as well as the food. My fiancée’s favorite food in Rome was at this experience. She was very knowledgeable with the food pairings and we enjoyed our experience.

Perfect Roman Evening: Great Food, Wine, and a Memorable Experience
End your day in Rome perfectly: the location is beautiful, the food and wine were great, and our sommelier Geneva was both entertaining and educational. There was enough food tasting to skip dinner, making the experience both delightful and enriching. Highly recommend!
