Book early! It sells out fast. Spectacular location for dinner! Request window seat. Food good. Vegetarian option.go early to enjoy the view and be in line for dinner. Remember there are a lot of stairs so wear good climbing shoes. The music is wonderful and the night view of the city is amazing. Concert ends between 9:30 and 10 PM. Enjoy!
This is an experience that I recommend highly. You get to use the furnincular and then dine in a restaurant with terrific views. After the meal, you get to listen to an expert string quartet perform for an hour! Really good way to spend an evening in Salzburg.

This was wonderful from start to finish. The timing of it all was meticulous. We arrived at the funicular just before 6.15 and everything was well sign posted at the top. After a short wait in a queue to be seated, we were led to a table by the railing for a breathtaking few. Our order was taken quickly for drinks and the main course and we were told what the VIP golden booking included. It was absolutely worth the additional cost. The food was delicious and the service smooth at a very gentle pace. The concert itself was wonderful, the musicians were very talented and played quite a few pieces including my favourite. It was my husbands birthday and we could not have asked for a better evening out.

Unbelievable night! Felt like a princess having a VIP Dinner on the terrace of the fortress. The concert was incredible and even the wonderful musicians had their own personalities. It was definitely the highlight of our trip!
The dinner was wonderful and the view was exceptional. The concert brought me to tears. Everything about the evening was more than expected.
The scenery, venue, and music were exquisite. We went during the latest heat wave which made the dinner uncomfortable, but the staff did their best to ensure it was bearable.
