A memorable day, Hallstatt is an exceptional little village frozen in time, picturesque and quiet with breathtaking scenery, if you are in Vienna I recommend this day trip!! The departure was 7.15 and i was waiting at the meeting point since 7 and the bus didn’t show up. Not sure if this is a scam!!
The tour group cancelled last minute. We showed up for our pickup at 7 am at our hotel. When no one showed up I logged into the Viator site, only to find a messsge the trip was canceled. Would have been professional to send a courtesy message via text, email or phone call so we could have made other arrangements.
It was a great way to get to see 2 cities in one day. Tour guide was very helpful and knowledgeable. It was wonderful to have our own personal guide . Thank you Marek for a great experience and for getting us to dinner on time 😊
This was the best decision of our trip so far. After a last minute booking we were delighted to meet our personal chauffer for the day. Richard treated us like royalty and it was clear that the safety of his guests was of paramount imortance. Richard's knowledge of the area was balanced by his charisma and humility. His dining reccomendations were spot on and there was sufficient free time to explore independently. It was a pleasure to have his company for this tour and was sad for us to say goodbye.
Absolutely one of the best days of our vacation. Maros, our guide and driver, was exceptional. We appreciated his insights and honest recommendations. Hallstatt is a stunning, postcard-perfect place. There are many fine restaurants from which to choose, and many shops feature locally made handcrafted products. We highly recommend this tour.
Beware of tour operator CapitalCityDiscoveries GmbH. They cancelled our tour only 7 hours before start of the tour by sending a email after midnight when we were sleeping so there was nothing we could do about it. We even sent them a message the day before to confirm, but they never replied, and we called them, and they didn’t answer. We understand things happen and sometimes tours get cancelled, but at least notify the customer in a timely manner so we can book something else. This is unacceptable. Do better.
The experience in Hallstätt is amazing, very worthwhile but the road in the van was a bit awkward as the spaces are small
The whole trip was very good, Guides were helpful, the only thing that could have been better was Bus as it was not up to the mark, garbage bin was continuously flipping and driver was bit negligent to it, otherwise it was all good.
