Booked tickets for 9am but got a call the day before to say there was a mass on till 2pm so the first available ticket was 2pm. Inside the basilica was absolutely gorgeous and breathtaking. Definitely recommend getting the skip the line tickets, especially in summer heat.
It's a scam, do not buy!! No entry , no audio book only some poctures, they only take your money no benefit!!!
Clickbait title. I bought the “Basilica and Dome” ticket and when I was to enter the Dome, the ticket was not valid. The Dome is optional in this ticket…but is extremely difficult to see where is it. Also, is cheaper in the official batican office. If you ask me, this is a scam for tourist that wants to buy it quicker to not wait in line. (Line is no more than 15 minutes).
It was amazing like it offers we skipped the enormous line and did this as a closing activity after we did a huge walking tour all afternoon. It was a perfect end to the evening. We did the 6pm skip the line tour and it gave us just the right amount of time to go in and view the beautiful Basilica.
In fact, we only visited St. Peter's Basilica with this purchase with an audio guide. Admission to St. Peter's Basilica is free! We had to pay 10 euros each again to climb to the dome on foot (otherwise 15 euros by elevator). Furthermore, you must be in good physical condition to climb to the dome on foot.

Had a bad experience, book bus tour for two hours and ended up with one hour,when I ask the bus operator he said its only one hour not two,in Rome I booked tour for St Peter's Basilica, reached their on time but the QR code didn't work.
Touring St. Peter's was an extraordinary experience. It is an amazing monument to Christianity, not to be missed if you're vising Rome. Viator's ticketing process, however, was less than satisfactory. We received the barcode showing that we had purchased tickets but were never able to download the QR code for the actual tickets. As a consequence, if it had not been for a very understanding guard at the ticket entrance, we would not have been able to enter the church.
We used elevator. When visiting dome, exit thru other door to go down. Everyone we spoke to were very nice. We could not find your guide so we continued without. Only advantage was booking before timeframe available on official site
I bought the tickets for the Basilica and the dome, but they only sent me the pass for the Basilica, so I had to buy the dome ticket again.
