I booked the Your Roots Private Walking Tour 2.5 months in advance for a September tour, next time I willl book earlier. Working with Xavier was easy and pleasant. His responses were prompt, complete, and very accommodating. I already knew a fair amount about my ancestors and that they were early settlers in Quebec City but Tour Accolades and Kim, The French Canadian Genealogist, were able to find new information on a maternal side! Plus, the intoduction to the PRDH database has added a whole new layer for my genealogy research. Our guide, Jocelyne, skillfully wove my ancestors into her stories as we walked Old Quebec. Her knowlege of Quebec City's history is outstanding and not the tidbits you find in tour guides. She shared stories not only of Quebec City's general history but included specifics about my family, even introducing me to Fromagerie Ferme Audet - Quartier Petit Champlain, to whom I am related! Really, you need to try their goat milk ice cream -- and I am not just saying that because I am related to them! The cost of the tour is a true value and the experience priceless. Thank you Jocelyne, Xavier and Kim for a memoriable experience.

We booked a private “Old Quebec: Touch and Feel” walking tour with Tours Accolade, and it was one of the highlights of our visit to Quebec City. From the booking process onward, Xavier was friendly, responsive, and very accommodating. The two-hour tour is specifically designed for low vision visitors, and it is exceptionally well thought out. Xavier provides detailed historical and archaeological information, but what truly makes this tour special is how he engages all the senses to bring Old Quebec to life. This is not a typical walking tour. Xavier uses touch, sound, and spatial awareness to complement his explanations, making the experience immersive and accessible. He was completely “on point” and attentive for the entire tour. My wife has low vision and absolutely loved the experience. She found it extremely valuable and was genuinely grateful that a tour like this exists for low vision travelers. It allowed her to fully experience and connect with the city in a way that standard tours cannot. We highly recommend Xavier and the “Touch and Feel” tour to anyone with low vision visiting Quebec City—and to anyone who values inclusive, meaningful travel experiences.

Fabulous tour . Johanna, our expert guide was lovely , engaging, super informative, incredibly knowledgeable and studied, kind and funny … We learned far more about the city of Quebec than we thought we would ! Highly highly recommended!!

Very accommodating and patient guide. More than willing to customize your wants and needs to make the tour very educational. Had plenty of time to answer all of your questions based on your knowledge, or lack thereof, local history.

If you have any ancestral connection to Quebec and New France, I highly recommend Tour Accolade to fill out details in your family tree and to take you to places relevant to our ancestors. I learned much about people that I have not yet found through Ancestry.com. I even had my photo taken in front on a statue in the city of two early ancestors. That never would have happened on my own. I’ve not encountered a format like this anywhere else that I have traveled. Worth every penny.

Nothing but wonderful things to say about Neil, our guide for a walking tour of historic Quebec City. Well versed in the wonderful history of the city, but knowledgeable about individual buildings, and places with historical significance. (ie: pointing to a nearby cannon - Why only these two colonial era cannons are cast with a Russian marque!) Highly recommended!

Terry, our guide, was terrific. So full of knowledge.He adjusted his speed for the age of our group but we didn't miss a thing in the Old City.
